I use a compression sleeve on my arm when flying so I understand what you need. They are very comfortable and of excellent quality for normal wear. **Q: What is the compression strength?** A: It all depends on the size of the woman and the size of the hose. I bought the smallest size and at 5'5", I found them lacking in any truecompression possibly because my legs are thin. The hose with greater compression are called BriteLeafs but are extremely tight at the ankles and therefore rather difficult to get on and off. Also, the colors not particularly attractive. **Q: Will these cover up leg hair?** A: I think they will because they are very thick. I wore mine in the winter under an elf costume outdoors and tbh I did not shave for weeks and no one could tell! **Q: Are the black ones Opaque?** A: Nearly opaque.
