Hoping My Shelter Dog Can Be Saved!
***I am truly sad that the protocol in the book is not saving my dog. I am devastated***______________________________________________Initially, I am basing my review on the information in the book. Dr. Eisen's book is easy to read; about 2 hours. I wish I had known Dr. Eisen, as some of you did.I adopted Vinny (toy poodle) at a humane society 11-15-13, so I have had him a little over 8 mos. They guessed his age at 9 years; looks younger. Previously, he had been in another shelter by another adoptee & he got out. He was in poor shape when brought in. He looks gorgeous now, since I've been cooking for him, adding supplements, enzymes, etc. He's kind, calm and good natured. He was given a lot of vaccines and kennel cough meds. at the shelter.♥ 5/8/14♥ I started treating him with some of the supplements about the beginning of May 2014. I gradually added everything from the book.He had a "lymphoma blood test" which is new and originates in the United Kingdom. The test was low on the numbers. Then, we had the fine needle aspiration done and he does have Lymphoma. He has swollen lymph nodes under the chin on each side, and two in his chest; moveable. Also one small enlarged lymph node on his back thigh. (5 nodes)I am treating the nodes with "Young Living Essential Oils" Frankincense & Cloves Oils on the tumors, and also internally 3 drops with a little olive oil. This oil kills cancer cells, and is non-toxic. I have treated fatty tumors on my sheltie and they do disappear.Vinny is feeling well, as I can tell this by our half hour walks. I will update as time goes on, to let you know how he is doing. I am hopefully optimistic that Dr. Eisen's protocol will help Vinny. My HUGE prayer is ongoing, and hoping he heals. We adore him!__________________August 27, 2014:Vinny Update:Very sad news that Vinny is completely blind. He's getting around the house marvelously, but I can tell he's depressed. I've taken him for long walks previously, taken him for rides in the car to lift his spirits. It's to the point he can't take walks anymore. His liver is enlarged and he has a mass in his stomach. He's grade 5 Lymphoma. I have only had him for 9 months from a shelter and I can tell you I am beyond devastated. Out of the 9 months, he had 5 mos. of normalcy. I followed the book to a "T" but for some reason the supplements are not working for him.I also have him on "Immune One" & "Cell Support" made by Source Naturals. The supplements have helped him to have an appetite, and he can still walk. http://www.immuneone.com/ He mainly loves chicken, cauliflower and broccoli.I was hoping and praying that I would have more time with Vinny, but it appears he's close to passing. It could be a two weeks or less. Friends and family say I've given him a good life, probably better than he's known, but it still doesn't feel right that this little doll of a boy poodle is going to leave us. He doesn't deserve it. Sorry, I'm truly sad!_____________________Update:Vinny passed away in his sleep at 1 AM, 9-25-14. I spent time with him, talking to him and letting him know what a great dog he is, and that he made a difference in my life, and how much I love him. He died about an hour and a half later. I am truly devastated.

This book SAVED my dog's life!!!!
I TRULY believe my 11 year old Golden Retriever, Barron would not be here--had it not been for Dr. Eisen's caring and compassion to share his experience with others. His beloved Fergie is also a testimony that his protocol WORKS! Of course I was skeptical at first . . . but why not pursue a more holistic method/therapy, than the awful side effects/reaction Barron had to the two treatments of chemo I put him through prior to discovering/finding this irreplaceable book!? Not to mention the expense! Yes, making his (97 lbs! From 81 lbs when diagnosed!) homemade food and purchasing the many necessary supplements IS "pricey," BUT--there are NO SIDE EFFECTS!! He's worth every penny . . . and more! He's not supposed to be with me any longer. His prognosis was 7 months! He was diagnosed in February of 2011 . . . the past 3 ultrasounds were negative of his lymphoma returning. Additonally, and I almost wanted to cry and hug Dr. Eisen if I could . . . my vet said of his last blood work 4 weeks ago . . . "Whatever you are doing, keep doing it--his blood work is PERFECT!" All I can say about the "naysayers," is "don't knock it until you've tried it!" Dr. Eisen doesn't "pretend" to being a vet--and acknowledges this frequently in his "questions" section of his website. Speaking of which . . . he dedicates and donates his time UNSELFISHILY to try and help/answer an INSANE amount of individual questions and concerns on all of our behalves. All I can say is . . . with the strict regimen/protocol Barron is on . . . he's running "strong," and for that there are NO WORDS to describe my thankfulness to this kind and caring Dr. Eisen. I am speaking not only on my behalf . . . but for that of Barron's as well. I will ALWAYS be eternally grateful for this book, for Fergie with whom without, this book would not be publsihed--and for Dr. Eisen's "unconditional love" he has given and shared for both two and four-legged beings.

Dr. Steve's Book Saved my dog
When my 13 year old German shepherd mix, Lucky, was diagnosed with a liver mass in April of 2010, I was devastated. The conventional vet treating her said that things looked very bad for Lucky. They could not do a biopsy at the time because her clotting time was prolonged. I started reading up on holistic ways of treating Lucky because, despite what the vet told me, I knew Lucky could overcome this. That is when I came across Dr. Steven Eisen's website and book. I ordered the book and also asked questions on his website. I immediately began many of the recommendations suggested in his book. In June, Lucky seemed to be doing better, so the vet said that she might be able to handle surgery to remove her mass. Well, during surgery, Lucky lost a lot of blood and I almost lost her. They were not able to remove any of the mass because it was too dangerous. They were able to biopsy a lymph node, however. Dr. Steve was there to offer his support as well as offer suggestions to help Lucky recover. He never gave up on her!! Well, again, his recommendations proved to save her life. Not only did she fully recover from the surgery, her most recent blood work came back with everything in the normal ranges!! The biopsy of her lymph node showed no signs of cancer, so we still do not know what the mass is made up of. However, I am sure that I am on the right path and that Lucky will recover.I strongly suggest this book to anyone who is in a similar situation. Dr. Steve is a holistic cancer EXPERT!!! He knows the gentlest and safest ways to support your dog's immune system so that they can return to health. I believe all veterinarian offices should provide his book to their canine patients.....especially if they have been given little hope. This book is the hope they need. Follow it, and your dog's health will return!!

Thank you Dr. Eisen on behalf of Alfie
It is a wonderful book, beautifully written. The parts about Fergie brought tears to my eyes. Our lovely Alfie, a rescue mongrel, has suffered from mast cell tumors since the age of 3 yrs. (he is now nearly 8 yrs. old). This book is extremely valuable to us, we consult it constantly. Alfie has had seven tumors, removed over the years by our excellent vet, and thanks to him, together with careful diet, originated by me but greatly improved since reading Dr. Eisen's book, Alfie is still with us, and as lively as a cricket ! Thank you Dr.Eisen for taking the trouble to write this very helpful book, and allowing us to benefit from the Fergie experience.PS. I have recent photos of Alfie but don't know how to send one (I am not good at computer)

Please don't buy this book.
When Amazon describe this as an 102 page book but it actually is 79 pages of two letters to his dog, advice (with several references only) with meagre reference to an evidence base and adverts for the website (he keeps mentioning it) where you can buy supplements. If you go online and look up canine cancer and canine anticancer, you will be able to put together a far better researched set of recommendations. As much of the information is based on human anticancer approaches, Daniel Servan-Schreiber's 'Anticancer' would be a good place to read too.

Poor for the cost.
Very disappointing for the price. Bought the book after reading mostly good reviews but to be honest I can find more information on the internet. Sadly returning the book.
