If you are looking for plans, don't buy this book. This book is a glorified catalogue for sheds. You pick out which you like then BUY those plans from a website. Big disappointment! Wish that was better explained in the description.

It appears that buyers either hated it or loved it (scores were mostly 1 or 5. I think it depends on what you wanted.The book has 144 pages:Pages 3 - 46 are concise information about how to build a shed. Its somewhat condensed, but well written and a DIYer could build a shed from the information presented.Pages 47 thru 144 are shameless advertising for building plans - it's no more than a catalog of their plain offerings. The prices are excessive, for example the drawings for a simple 8' x 8' shed is $60, for a set of 5 copies - $90, for a PDF file- $100. Some plans have CAD files which are VERY expensive - several hundred dollars.On the plus side, the pictures can give a reader ideas and they can draw up their own plans, so this section is somewhat useful. Other shed building books I have seen have similar pictures, but they don't sell the plans.So if you're looking for detailed shed drawings, you will be disappointed, If you are looking for building techniques and the option to buy (expensive) plans, you will be thrilled. If you (like me) are looking for building techniques and perhaps some ideas, you will be somewhat pleased. The book is inexpensive and in my opinion, worth the money. By the way, a more comprehensive book on building techniques with some plan sketches (not actual drawings) with only 32 pages of plan advertisements - see Barns, Sheds, and Outbuildings by the same publisher. The thing that really burned me up about this book is that it says that it comes with 200 plans and that is complete BS, what it really is , is some basic information and a catalog for two hundred plans - plans range in cost from $40- to over $300. For me since I already have a basic knowledge of construction, this book is an absolute waste of time and money. I regret buying it as it will just go right into the trash one day.

I should have read the other reviews first! This book does not come with shed plans. It comes with a list of shed plans that you can purchase for a price ranging from $60 to $1,500 depending on how elaborate the plan is.

It has some good details about the basics of various points of shed building, however it is misleading in that it does not include full build plans for any sheds. Instead, they show pictures in the back and offer to sell you the plans for additional hundreds of dollars each.

This is a complete scam and should be removed from Amazon. I ordered it looking for plans for some small sheds, which is literally what it says on the cover. When you open the book, it's a catalog for house blueprints. Furthermore, the blueprints aren't even in there; you have to send in an order for them, which cost about $100-500 each. This book is, by definition, a sales catalog. I'll be returning it at once and reporting it to Amazon. The cover or description needs to plainly state the plans aren't actually in the book.

This 144 page book has 42 pages about the basics of how to build sheds and 70 catalog pages showing a photo, floor plan, dimensions, blueprint code and prices for various shed plans to purchase. The prices vary from a low of about $60 for PDF plans for a small garden shed to a high of about $1300 for CAD plans for a two bedroom one bath cottage. There are also some catalog pages of plans to purchase for making a variety of outdoor furniture and other yard projects. If you want to see lots of examples of different kinds of sheds, barns, cabins and small cottages suitable for the DIY builder, this book may be for you.

This book is a rip off. Don’t waste your money. The cover clearly says “Over 200 plans inside”. There are absolutely NO PLANS INSIDE!! There are 40 pages of simple “how to” general instructions and 93 pages of building pictures with the prices to BUY the plans which are at least 100 bucks each! I am returning this book. What a scam!

Some fairly good basic information crammed into the first 46 pages, then the rest of the book is basically a catalogue for a lot of plans you can buy at great expense.If this were being sold in a physical bookstore and I had scanned through it I would have spotted the con at the heart of this book and never would have bought it. A real rip off for what is essentially a few general tips and an overpriced catalogue of garden building plans.. It even pronounced — Over 200 Plans Inside — on the cover surrounded by a big sun shield label design, which is a big lie. It should say over 200 plans listed for purchase inside this glorified catalogue.

Please do not make the mistake of buying this book unless you are looking for a catalogue that allows you to order plans. It states on the cover OVER 200 PLANS - but you have to order them pay $80 - $300 for each of them.There is a bit of instruction in the front, but I would suggest you buy a different book that contains more of that and is less of a catalogue.Very disappointed and am returning it!

Totally misleading product description- Build your own shed ... 200 plans. This was not a book but a catalogue; it had one shed plan with a complex roof design and the rest was a catalogue of 200 sheds with the prices of those plans ranging from $39 to hundreds of dollars. I felt scammed.

Waste of money. Plans is not included. If you want to get plans you have buy it separately and it is not cheap.

A bit disappointed that it is half full of plans that you have to buy.
