absolutely moved by this story
This story was amazing. I love a kick ass sport romance especially a sport like hockey that is all about how strong you are and what you’re made of and then it be a MM romance. Bryce and Hunter were awesome. Poor Bryce has been struggling with his sexual identity for some time and when he finally meets someone who makes him want to take the risk he is faced with someone who was blindsided by his admission. I felt for Hunter because he didn’t do anything wrong in that moment. He wasn’t cruel but he was at a loss for words as to learn his hockey hero who was fast becoming one of his really close friends was gay. Loved how he fought to try to talk to Bryce when he was traded. They are so beautiful together. Then the heartbreaking moments of this book. The story draws you in and I won’t lie. I was in tears reading the chapters of Bryce’s injury and getting hunters perspective of watching his love almost die. Wow. Wish there was some clarification for the team when they were defensive of Bryce while in the hospital about how Hunter apparently broke his heart. When I’m actuality that wasn’t the case. But other than that. This story really moves you about love and fighting for what you want and for overcoming hardships and injuries. Loved the story!! And loved the team and their unwavering love and support of one another.

Wow...just wow
Never would I have thought to put a hockey romance on my top ten list. This book was absolutely beautiful. The amount of research and detail was astounding. Granted, I had to look up what 'cross-checking' was because I'm not hockey but damn was it worth it. I don't remember a book that made me cry so much and even more tears. The pace of the journey was spot on. The romance development between the MCs was not slow nor rushed it was perfect and believable. Tal Bauer just pick up another loyal reader that pre-orders books 📚 and is part of a community the recommends books.

I’m dying over these two
I’m ashamed that this book waited so long on my TBR because it is absolutely gorgeous. Bryce and Hunter just leapt off the pages and grabbed my heart immediately. Their chemistry was so strong that I could barely breathe during some scenes. Every single moment felt real, you can taste the longing, the love, the heartbreak. I’m still recovering from this book and it’s 1000% going on my re-read list. Ten million stars.

Wow! I am in love.
I cannot fathom how this is my first Tal Bauer book. I just can't. This is so beautifully written, well-versed, a magical journey through the ups and downs of falling in love, finding yourself, and falling apart. It's about learning who you are on your own and with someone else. What it is to be a team. To have hopes and dreams and to WANT more than what you have. This book held me captive. It's Gravity pulled me in and did not let go. I smiled, I laughed, I nearly-cried.Hunter and Bryce will pull at everything you are.

Enthralling
There's not a lot about this I didn't like but IF I had to state a couple things, they're definitely not things that should keep you from reading. Obviously, there's a lot of French and I'm someone that likes to be immersed in my book so having to use the translator, while it was cool, broke that immersion often.I loved everything else about this book. The characters, the couple, the story. The intense scene with Bryce had me in tears. I adored it all.

Sweet soulmates
I like the romance and the sweetness of the story. And the sex scenes weren't sex scenes so much as love scenes which I liked. I liked that the story was about people caring about each other and supporting each other and family isn't always blood related. I really cared about the characters and Bryce's "mistake" about broke my heart but definitely glad this ends in an HEA.

Get Your French Dictionary Out!
First off, let me start by saying I loved Tal Bauer's previous books, and this one had the potential to be another amazing read. I am a huge hockey fan and really looked forward to this one. I adored both main characters and within the first few chapters I was hooked. The love between them grew very quickly and was so sweet and real. His writing is just beautiful. You feel you really are there overlooking a freezing, icy lake. I love when a main character, in this case Bryce, speaks French. However, in this case what irritated me is that Bryce didn't just speak a few words in French. There were full sentences at very important parts of the book that were never translated, and you didn't know what the heck he was saying. Emotional loving parts, lovemaking parts, and even talking back and forth with his father. I literally had to have my phone and keep entering full sentences to translate what was being said. Then at times the other main character, Hunter would try to speak back in French, again, untranslated. Highly annoying and took away from the pleasure of the beautiful story. A few sentences did have translation, but unless you are fluent in French, you will need to translate. And do it. Because if you don't you will miss out on the highly romantic, loving words they say to each other! Also, I like play by play action in hockey books, but even for this hockey fan, there was just way too much. I have to be honest, I skipped over some. It is still a good book, simply because both Bryce and Hunter were to die for!

Incredible love story.
I love hockey and m/m stories so was so excited when I saw Tal was writing a new hockey story. Wow just wow, it was such a beautiful story and I couldn’t help cheering Michel and Hunter on throughout the book. It had all the feels and was so well written. The Etoilles had such a strong bond and deeply cared for each other it was so special seeing the unwavering support all the way through. All the characters were great, the banter between the teammates. I loved the French phrases used throughout the book and only had to look up a few! Couldn’t put it down.

Wow!!!J'ai adoré ces deux.Bryce and Hunter were perfect for each other in this wonderful story. There was so much to love in this MM, gay awareness sports romance. There were plenty of thrills, drama, angst, moments of sadness and humour • I especially loved how their relationship developed throughout the book, lots of swoony moments.• the Ètoiles team spirit, friendship and enduring sense of hope.• the exciting hockey games were great to read about too.

Love this hockey romance
It's fair to say this author is, at the very least, a safe pair of hands for pretty much any subgenre in the MM romance world, and he's excelled again now in the sports romance arena. It's a perfect storm for me, too - ice hockey, found family in the team's band of brothers, gay/bi awakening, lots of emotion, tons of chemistry (both on and off ice!) between Bryce and Hunter and beautiful descriptions of the flow and passion of the game as well as the landscapes the two men find themselves escaping to. Love it...It's an easy 5* from me.

Warm and snuggly
That's how I feel after reading this little gem into the wee hours.I'll leave all the wordy reviews for the folks with more energy and eyes that stay open without the aid of props, but just know this was absolute perfection. Not as angsty or heavily plotted as some of Tal's tales, although it had it's moments, it just oozed goodness from every pore; this is the sort of love I wish for my kids.Note to self....must brush up on my schoolgirl French, it really is the language of love.

beautiful
Tal is one of those authors you know will completely shatter your heart and then put the pieces back together all shiny and new. Gravity does exactly that. It’s pretty heavily focused on the hockey, so if that’s not your thing you’ll find yourself skipping passages, but the romance is so achingly well written and worth learning all about hockey. The inevitability of these two as a couple was stunning and I couldn’t put this book down 🖤
