A little confusing. *by C***C on Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2020* I gave it 3 stars for the intent of the plot. But frankly, you could tell this was a rush job. There were SO many errors in this thing that it read like some amateur fanfiction (honestly, a lot of the basics in these stories regarding breeds reads like a particular fanfiction, Inuyasha, except instead of magic & demons, it's science & breeds. But hey, what do I care?). But seriously, ever heard of an editor? If you have one, fire them. Now. It's abundantly clear the author pushed this one out to make a quick buck. It's like she's not even trying anymore. The idea behind this series is honestly amazing. IT COULD BE SOOOO GOOD!!!.... if she'd sell the rights to another more worthy author. One who isn't so repetitive. If I read "burn me alive" one more time I might throw my kindle across the room and mail the remnants to the author, with a bill attached for obliterating my sanity.SPOILERS: Also, I got a little confused about several things... including who among the dead from 22 years ago were breed and who was human? At first I thought Patrick's mate was a breed like him. But then she wasn't. And they kept referring to "the child," stating that with any luck the kidnappers wouldn't have hurt it yet bc it's still a baby & thus, fragile. But if it happened 22 years ago it wouldn't be a child anymore, right? Im so confused. And how did Patrick's mate betray him? I'M SO CONFUSED. Ive read many of these books & they've never been SO unedited or confusing. The author didn't even know the definition of "retracted." What the hell happened? I love these books. Yes, there's an excess of erotica at times (though I love it), particularly because I really do enjoy the ACTUAL story. And frankly, the author usually rushes through everything you've been working towards at the end of every book simply because there's no more sex. Which I think sucks because the story is great. So I still read them. But come on, show a little gratitude to your readers and, if you're gonna repeatedly rush the ending, AT LEAST hire yourself a competent editor for crying out loud. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cassa and Cabal *by S***A on Reviewed in the United States on July 4, 2019* The two most stubborn people around I have had the pleasure to read about. Though the book falls short of the anticipation of what Cabal's story could have been, the book isnt awful or as bad as some of the other reviewers have said, it was actually one of the better books in the series.Cassa didn't come off as the spoiled brat that other reviewers portrayed her as, she was just a women who was betrayed by the man she thought she loved and for the past 11 years has been trying to fix mistakes that her husband has made.Cabal presented LL with so many possibilities for a great exciting story but Bengal's Heart fell short, BUT it was still good if not one of the better books(I.E. MUCH BETTER THEN TANNER'S SCHEME)in the Breeds series. Cabal was changed in this book from the others, he was written more in depth and given more of a story, he goes from pretending to be the carefree Bengal to the overprotective mate.If your willing to over look some of the discrepancies between the Cabal in this book( I.E. The Stripes...LOL) compared to the Cabal in the other books, then this book is worth while to read.
