Better with Age
I enjoyed this so much I bought 2 more. One for my brother and one for my son.I liked the Zombies when I was 11 and I like them even more now I am 61. This combination of Colin & Rod, with Jim & Steve and the other guy Not sure of his name. They make a great band. Colin's voice is great. Rod Argent kicks ass on the keyboards !I am also going to actually see the Zombies when they tour in late Sept /Oct this year. I have waited for almost 50 years to see them and I am there ! After watching this video (it was made 10 years ago) I called my brother and made him PROMISE me he would take me if they ever came to the States again. He is keeping his promise this Oct 14th Carnegie Music Hall near Pittsburgh, Pa. It will feature Colin & Rod , Hugh Grundy, Chris White all original guys in the band from 1965 when I was 11 ! They will play their album from 1968 that was never toured because they broke up after recording it The music is timeless. My son is 42 and likes it too.He played this video at his 42nd birthday party in July. Enjoyed by all ages.I recommend this video to anyone who enjoys music from the 60's. It stays with me today.

BUY THE ENGLISH IMPORT
Great show, but if you want the complete show and have an all region dvd player , spend the extra bucks to get the English Import!!! Missing from the American release of this show are 5 songs. Say You Dont Mind, Misty Roses, Old and Wise, Just Out of Reach, and Summertime. The performance, video and sound are however brilliant. I only gave the American release 4 stars because of the hatchet job they did to this dvd. Too bad!!! Dont understand why this was done!!!

A great way to reconnect to a great group
I saw the "reconstituted" Zombies essentially as presented in this DVD and CD in the summer of 2009. They were in a show with other 1960's British Invasion groups and were easily the best of the three. I liked them in the 1960's, and I positively LOVED them live this past summer. The CD and the DVD "Live at the Bloomsbury Theatre" is a perfect way to remember the experience I had seeing them up close and live. The quality of the performance is great - as a group - even if it is not all the original members - they really rock! Their playing and singing is full of energy. Some groups, after almost 50 years, would be better off retiring, but I really believe that this version of the Zombies - or, if you prefer, Blunstone, Argent & friends - is a musically exciting group that is worthy inheritor of the Zombies and Argent catalog. I read the review on Amazon that was critical of the drumming, and I must respectfully disagree with the reviewer... I have the original studio recordings of the Zombies and Argent. British Invasion groups studio recordings tended to be light on the percussion. But in my experience live performances are not mixed the same way as studio recordings... perhaps in concert they amplified the drums too much for the reviewer's tastes. Personally, I liked the drumming in this CD / DVD... I thought it brought additional energy to the performance.

Not quite there
I expected more. Many of the DVDs that I have purchased of classic bands have been a joy. This one falls short. Yes the band still has a jazzy style and play a number of great hits. The musicianship however is without emotion. That would be acceptable. The lead vocal is painful to listed to . Off key on its own but ruins the harmonies. Many of the songs just had to be skipped over. Usually I play concerts many times. This one will sit forever.

"Zombies' where are you now????
A long time fan ,I always wondered why they ( the Zombies) never made it to the big time,( internationally) their music for the period cuts across Pop, rock , blues/jazz, musically and experimentally is way beyond similar groups of the mid /late 60's/ early 70's. You can still hear the sound others tried to copy. The quieter/ slower moments are pure musical art......... beyond comparison with other similar groups of the time !!!!!Great video footage.Enjoy.

a concert masterpiece
This concert, filmed in London in 2005, is a audio and video masterpiece; I will state up frontI have loved the Zombies since the British Invasion days, although they have in recent yearsfallen way off my radar. Watching this video, I was immediately reminded how listening to thisband just makes you feel good all over again-great hook-laden pop songs and harmony vocals {Colin Blunstonestill possesses the voice of an angel, even in his 60's.] I have dozens of concert videos, and I cannotimagine one recorded and mixed any better. Aside from the "must play" songs like "She's Not There" and"Tell Her No" they draw heavily from the "Odessey & Oracle album, which when released was an overlooked masterpiecebut has since gained its rightful cachet as one of the greatest Rock albums of all time. A nice touch is the usage of a string quartet on some tunes. The video, although not High-Def, is very good and shot without gimmicky andbusy camera angles. This is a fine reminder of time gone by, when good songs and good singing meant something.I was fortunate to see them live for the first time this year [2011]in Conn. and they are still doing their thing very well. Buy now, you won't be disappointed.M.B.

A Blast from the Past
I recently saw the reformed Zombies in concert locally. Their music was as fresh as ever and this DVD showcased them very well. I have followed their careers since the mid 1960s and will continue to do so. Thanks to the guys for the ability to watch and listen to them whenever I want.

The Zombies revisited!
Great DVD...Sound quality excellent! The Zombies still have it! Excellent performances of old "hits" and not so well knowns songs. Colin Blunstone still has a fabulous voice and Rod Argent "rocks". I saw this group in Winnipeg last July, and honestly they were incredible live! The audience was filled with young and older...were on their feet!! Keith Airey's guitar work is magically and reviting! One of the best I have ever seen! The group was warm and friendly towards the audience and we "all" had a great evening together! Many of the same songs are on this DVD. Catch them if they come to your city...you will not be disappointed! AP Winnipeg Mb. Canada
