Well-designed steamer basket
I was looking for a way to steam vegetables, but I did not have enough storage space for another pot in my kitchen: this steamer basket is the perfect solution. When it folds it can be stored easily, but when it opens, there is plenty of space to steam vegetables, more than in a standard pot! It is well-designed and sturdy. After reading some of the reviews, I was concerned that the plastic of the legs may melt in hot water, but indeed, the legs are covered in silicone, so they are heat resistant. Would recommend.

Tamales Anyone
Perfect for using in a verity of size pots. So if I’m making small or medium size batches of tamales, this is my go to. Easy of use is always a big plus. So you’ll love this one.

Nice features to this newer version folding steamer.
I have just purchased and assembled these steamer baskets but not yet used them. I've had similar collapsing steamers before and like them but I needed to replace my very old ones. I like the handle, and that it telescopes up/down. I also like the folding "feet" on the bottom that can be opened to raise the steamer higher if needed. However, assembling and screwing the handle in place is painfully tedious. The screws are tiny and very short. We shall see if they hold up or loosen easily. Thus I gave this a 4 star.

Missing clamp to hold handle on basket
I am changing my review. I called Consevisen at the number in the instructions that came with the steamer basket, no one answered and I did NOT leave a message. Then surprisingly I received a text message the same day from Mary at Consevisen asking me to email them with my issue. I explained about not getting the clamp and asked them to send me one. Again, surprisingly I received a reply from Mary that day saying they were sending me a replacement order. Hopefully this will just be the clamp I asked for. I have to say, this is the best and quickest Customer Service I have encountered, thus I am now giving them 5 stars. I have not used the basket but I believe it will be better than those I have had in the past.My steamer basket came without the clamp that holds the handle onto the basket. You have to attach the handle to the basket with screws, but without the clamp (more like a plastic washer), the handle will not stay on. It is probably useless to try to use a metal washer because the design of the plastic clamp is such that it needs to be a certain thickness and should be angled at the screw holes. I was excited to get this basket because the design of the legs is different from all the ones I have used in the past. Those baskets just had metal legs attached to the basket and they inevitably rusted off.

Works SO WELL and EASY TO CLEAN!
I received this item today, washed it, cooked with it, and washed it again. This item is amazing! The broccoli turned out so well, the two of us almost finished two crowns in addition to dinner. The “feet” are wrapped in silicone and fold out to sit on the bottom of the pot. The basket folds out to work with a variety of (pot) sizes. The only con is that the handle doesn’t lift up easily with a fork (fingers too close to steam). I used long-handled tongs to lift the basket from the pot. As the instruction mentions, don’t load too heavy of items in the basket as the handle could detach. Durability of handle remains to be seen.My recipe instructions: cut broccoli into even-sized florets and wash. Fill bottom of pot with 3 cups of water and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce. Low basket with feet folded out to bottom of pot. Spread the “wings” to the edge of the pot. Heat on high to boil the water and start the steam.Add broccoli florets to basket/pot. You can raise/lower the handle so it fits into the pot, but accessible. Cover with lid - allowing a little steam to escape - and cook until tender. I lowered the heat to medium high, because I was worried about the water running out - I checked midway - but I will probably keep the temp on high next time.
