perfect size. i have the original miterix which i love but this thing fits in my Diamondback tool rig pouch much nicer, it also fits in a pants pocket which is convenient when running back and forth to the saw. added a picture with some other junk for size comparison. continue to be a huge fan of bora tools

Worked for what I needed it for

This tool has a major design flaw, but if you can work around it, the tool will be functional. The plastic edges of the angle finding arms are great in my opinion, as they won't mar delicate surfaces such as finished trim. There are similar tools made from all metal that may be better for instances where marring is not a concern.The issue with this tool is the hex head nut on the back that is meant to stay put inside a plastic channel while the knob on the front side of the tool is turned to tighten down the position. The nut is not held tightly inside the channel, so instead of allowing you to tighten down the angle, it just spins freely. One solution, which is not ideal, is to hold the nut with a finger while tightening down the knob from the front. A better solution would have been for Bora to replace this rounded off hex nut with a square nut that fits tightly inside the channel, or to make the channel from metal instead of plastic. I have been using it by holding the nut with my finger while tightening, it works ok in most cases.I expected more from Bora, they make a lot of excellent tools. This one is hard to recommend unless you just really need a plastic non-marring angle finder.

Perfect miter cuts made easy, highly recommended

There is a lot of play in the angle after you tighten it down, so it's not very accurate in keeping your angle. So then you're tempted to try and tighten it more...well if you overtighten the knob breaks off and it's trash. Just get a protractor.

There is a lot of potential here though the materials they use let it down. More about the tool.- Angle setting. Very simple, just loosen the thumbscrew and extend. Super easy.- Full and bisected angles. Great if trying to replicate an off 90 corner or set bisected angles for use with a miter saw.- Durability/Sturdiness. Low end of things. The material uses is on the soft side and assembled with single rivets. (See picture.). Hard to see this standing up to much more than casual DIY use.- Accuracy. Ok, but the soft material will deflect if pushing against an angle too hard.- Value. Considering the materials and construction, the price seems high at full retail.In summary, lots of potential that can get the job done, though the soft materials and rivets let it down.
