No this is not universal.. in addition the previous answer to this question is incorrect. I you check the manual on the manufacturer website this (Euro version) uses the metric sending unit. Metric Marine 10-180 OHM Single Station

According to page 18 of the Faria catalog, 2 inch gauges require a 2-1/16 inch mounting hole.
