Not as expected.
What actually arrived and what I expected are two completely different things. I was expecting a roll that looked like the one on their description and also the sustainer tabs. What actually arrived is a small envelope with roll of wick, shrink wrapped in plastic and no tabs. To add insult to injury, the quality is terrible - burns far too quickly

Lovely natural product that fits standard wick holder/sustainer.
I wanted to make my own glass tealights for my aromatherapy room diffusers, as the regular ones are terrible when you have asthma and I use them a lot when people are visiting right now (Tea Tree and Eucalyptus Vulgaris).Wax candles of any size are really expensive so I was cutting down the pre-made ones and re using the wick sustainers with the offcuts but this is much nicer.A bit gooey when you are tying a little knot at the bottom of the metal sustainer which then stands proud, but a drop of candle wax fixes it to the base. I mix melted beeswax and solid coconut oil 40:60 in a bain-marie (pot within a pot of shallow hot water) and pour and this works really well. Tapers are my next project.NB. The sustainers are reusable as is most of the remaining wax. Great value and excellent SHTF basic if the power goes.

Excellent value hemp wick
I make homemade candles from the little bit of wax leftover when any premade candle runs out. I harvest the wick holders from the bottom of tealights, and use a pair of pliers to close the little holder around the wick. Some of the more expensive hemp wicks I've tried say they're "best for candle making" or so forth but this so far has been the best, as well as the cheapest! So, this is my favourite so far for sure.It burns easily, it seems to suck up wax better than the thicker ones, but also even more than the other thin ones I've tried. If you're looking to this as a "portable candle" for camping or somesuch, you should know it burns through its length faster than the thicker ones, probably for the same reason it absorbs wax in a dish better. But at how much cheaper this is than other wicks, you could just buy twice as much for still less money.Another nice side effect is that it is easier to light, for if you wanted to light say around 10 tealights for a big bath. (I like to use hemp wick to light many candles at once as well, since it doesn't get hot like lighters do, and much more portable than those long candle lighters.)

Great product but string is way too thin.
This is a nice little kit, but the string is so thin that as it is, its only useful for tealight candles. The only way i found to use it is by thickening the string by using 3 or 4 stings and wrapping them together, then it produces a decent flame for a 2inch diameter simple container. If you are thinking about using this with beeswax candles, i would recommend getting a thicker string!

not good for candles
not good for candles (used it for my candles and the flame was way to weak, so it would burn out it self)good for use in pipes
