Warped
Well presented product however the chessboard was warped and not very well made. Seems that the focus is on presentation of the board for marketing purposes however the product itself leaves a lot to be desired

Low quality for the price - not recommended.
Overall I was disappointed with the quality of the chess board considering it's cost and immediately returned it for a refund. The positives:The chess board arrived well packaged and adequately protected for transit. It has a pleasant matt lacquered finish, and the surface would likely remain in good condition for many years. The carrying bag is of good quality and has extra protection around the edges which is good as the edges would be more likely to sustain damage whilst being transported.Additionally there were also 4 spare felt pads in the bag which was a nice thought as they do wear and may eventually need replacement. The negatives:The squares on the playing surface do not all align exactly with some being prominently out of alignment. The borders around the edge of the playing surface also have a prominent taper on one side and would be very irritating whilst playing as this like the squares being poorly aligned would be continually noticed and once seen is always drawn to mind. The board had several prominent gouges in one corner which is a sign of poor workmanship not damage as this is clearly below the surfaces lacquered finish. There were also some other minor manufacturing defects with marks on the edge of the board and a white glue type mark on the upper surface.Overall however the negatives for me far outweigh the positives especially considering the fairly high price and considered low quality, as such it is not a product I would recommend.

Very Disappointed
Received Paliisander dark wood, not ebony as ordered.Ebony is ebony, palisander is a Brazilian Rosewood.Quality of white squares was very poor, the colour difference was too great between various white squares and some of the wood chosen for the white squares was in my opinion inappropriate for a board claiming to be of good quality. The pictured board looks excellent, all the white squares being of a consistent wood shade, what I received wasn't.Doesn't feel worth the money, even with a Black Friday discount, sending it back. Please note I am an internationally rated chess player, so know what I'm talking about.

arrived very quickly
unfortunately returning as there is a scratch over in the centre over three squares. This must have been done in manufacturing because the packaging wasn't damaged.

Big Board, Great Board
Such a nice looking board. Feels sturdy, and comes with a nice carrying case. I don't know how or why you would spend more money than this on a board. Perfection!

A fine No. 6 chess board.
This is a well made inlaid wooden board. The ebony stringing around the edge of the playing area underlines the quality. The carrying case is a useful extra.
