Used for several months to light my candles. No problems. Still on the first charge. Usually light a candle a couple times a week.

I was tired of buying new lighters to set candles and kill ticks. When you live in the woods and lots of land around you with 2 dogs, they bring in ticks. Everyday I have to check and they have some on them. I grab the tick put it in a pan and light it on fire. This is the second one I bought hoping it would do the job. The last one wouldn’t go near the tick. This one absolutely got near it and roasted it. Great light and works well for candles too. Long battery life.

Works well when charged. Used for birthday candles. Love the pencil-like length to protect your fingers. It’s light weight and easy to used. Safe around kids.

It's a fire stick! or a really short cattle prod although it's not intended for that purpose. I like it, it works well for lighting candles or starting fires in the wood stove or fireplace, you cannot blow out the arc with your breath and yes it'll give you quite a shock ... not that I've tried it, I know better. It turns on as the tip comes fully out of the case when you press in and slide the button forward, if you want to clean any soot off the end, do not slide it out all the way and be careful! It operates about 30 times for about 8 seconds each before needing a charge. Don't try to use it for a flashlight, it doesn't put out that much light even in a dark room, it's just a little blue electric Arc.

The media could not be loaded. These are great just not for my use.I wish it stayed lit for longer, but a safety feature turns it off after like 5 seconds.I wish the space for lighting in between was wider.One of them actually gets hot after using it a couple times in a row. I think it’s faulty and I’m concerned about the safety.Using this for incense I have to try multiple times to get it fully lit. I wish it was more powerful. But for candles it works great. The battery life would probably be better if I didn’t have to keep relighting it.

I ordered this lighter because it was impossible to have regular lighter or matches delivered in a timely manner and they were only sold in smoke shops where I was at the time.Before finding this item on Amazon I wasn’t even aware these lighters existed!I’m so glad I bought it since I can travel with it, it looks a lot nicer than a plastic lighter or a box of matches and it’s a lot more sustainable, which is definitely an added bonus!I’m not sure how this lighter would do for a smoker, but it works great for lighting candles!

I like the fact that these are rechargeable and I can use them to ignite candles that have a low wick or a wick that is down in a large jar. I actually got them to help me start my gas heater because the starter sometimes doesn't work. Unfortunately they did not work for that. They are handy and easy to use and you can't beat the rechargeable, but for the purposes I needed it it didn't work. I'll keep them around for candles.
