Q: does the plastic film over solar panel need to be removed?

Yes ! Remove the plastic. I am still in love with my chimes. I plan to buy angels for my son grave. Plus I can place them in my backyard also. Beautiful. Reminder of love ones. Not only for deceased love ones. I love them for reminders for every one. Since the angels were blue and pink in my sister room before she passed. I am not sure why. Maybe because the color they up took during the day. But they all change to different colors outside my porch at night. Very beautiful to look at..

That has not been our experience. We have had some major wind, not quite hurricane strength lately, and they have not tangled. Every now and then i notice one getting tangled with another, but that could have been for any number of reasons. We have two, have gifted two, and we love these. A big thumbs up.
