Oldie but a goodie
Compared to more recent kits, it definitely shows its age. But it is still very solid. You must panel line this kit or else it looks pretty plain. It's an iconic design though and keeps the chunky feel of the TV version. It's a quick build and fun to detail especially for fans of Gundam Wing. Oh, and it seems to always be on sale so you can get it for super cheap. Go for it!

Great model for beginners (but also fragile)!
Bought and assembled this as my first Gundam model kit! The written instructions were in Japanese but the pictures were self explanatory. It took me 4 hours to fully assemble this kit (with only a nail clipper) since I made some errors when putting together some parts. The kit comes with 2 beam sabers, shield and beam cannons. However, I broke part of the shield after skipping a step by accident (100% my fault lol). Some parts/joints are pretty loose and posing is pretty difficult since the model is prone to falling without a stand. In addition, the model won't look like the product listing unless paint is applied, which isn't a big concern for me. Overall, this model kit is great for beginners or anyone who shows an interest in gunpla.

Nice details and fun to build and transform
The media could not be loaded. My first Gundam wing kit, very fun to build and the colors and wings are eye catching. The details of the model are nice even without panel lining. Currently leaving him transformed for my display. The articulation of the model is nice, it has to be somewhat flexible to transform afterall

Gundam Wing Model Kit
A good looking model kit at this price point. Range of motion is a bit limited but that is something with these HG (High Grade) kits. Some of the thinner decals may be hard to apply depending on your dexterity. It is a simple kit and I found the instructions easy to follow. A friendly reminder this is their entry level kits. If you are looking for more detailed kits Either RG (Real Grade) which is the same 1/144 scale or the larger MG (Master Grade) which is 1/100 scale might be what you are looking for but both tend to be more complex. Overall a good beginner kit.

Its important to understand the grading system of these models
I gave 5 stars because it was exactly what I thought it would be. I've been doing gunpla models since toonami and toys "r" us. Understanding the difference in an "hg" kit compared to an "sd" or "mg" kit will take you a long way if you're just starting out. The stickers weren't too bad and it went together well except for parts of the feet but it was fine. Good fun for a couple hours.

Great kit
This is a great HG kit that is quite detailed and like it almost as much as my strike freedom kit. Lots of great panel lining. The arm joints are a little underwhelming. But great kit. Sword blade is very loose in the hilt.

You know you want to
You used to watch gundam without a care in the world. Now, you've got kids, and the days of watching Hero absolutely destroy in his Mobile Suit are long gone. But this... this is an excuse to sit in the garage for hours and play Gundam in the background. You'll spend 4 hours putting this together, and when you finally show your partner they'll say "Oh". You'll tell them about the dual beam cannons, and the beam saber, and maybe even how it can transform into a plane. And when you place it proudly on the shelf in the bedroom, you'll look up at it with bittersweet joy. Then one day your partner will hide it behind the houseplant, and you will write a review to show your appreciation for this wonderful kit.
