Great to teach proper knife skills to kids. GREAT value!
Teaching my 10 y/o proper knife skills with her own knife. Sheath makes it great to store and easier for her to access. Knife cuts very well and easy for her to handle. Side note: we bought gloves for help avoiding getting cut by such a wonderfully sharp knife.

Great way to get kids helping with cooking.
This is a really well-balanced knife that will help teach respect for knife sharpness and basic knife skills. Works great on most anything though stay away from harder vegetables like carrots -- not enough weight and too much pressure needed.

Great gift but big
Bought this knife for my grand-daughter who likes to help her mom in the kitchen. It is much bigger than I anticipated. She has not yet tried it so it may work for her, but it seems like something for an adult. She however was thrilled to have her own knife.

Cuts amazing
Will cut through anything if you move through the cut. Very sharp. Tomatoes to Lobster Tails. Kids pay attention.

Good knife for a child
This knife is easy to use. My daughter loves having her own knife when she helps in the kitchen.

Handle too large for small childern
Functionally I think the Santoku shape is a good choice for novice users but this knige is not really scaled for smaller children around 6 years old.
