I didn't believe it was possible to do a good book on "Numbers" but since I already read Isaiah and Jeremiah, and found them incredible, why not give it a chance. I loved this book. I am not doing a class or the video, (although I did the video on Isaiah and she is a very good teacher.) The bulk of the information is right there in the book. She is able to show how people in these books, aren't that much different then we are. Culture is different. Melissa's books give you a much deeper understanding of yourself and God, which is priceless.

I love love love this study, when I first saw that it was the book of Numbers, I kind of thought, "yeah, not for me" . I read a few reviews and decided to try it since I really did not want to, just to challenge myself. Oh. My. Golly. I did not want to finish, I loved everything about it. I love the format that she uses, everything! I bought one for a dear friend that I knew would love it too, and of course, she loves it! She bought one for her mom. We both have decided to do another one of Melissa's study together. I can not wait to dig into another of her studies. Thank you Melissa for breaking things down to easily study and enjoy, but mostly for having a heart for God and for encouraging us to study and be faithful. I am far in my walk with the Lord, however, I think this suits both the new and mature Christian alike!

I'm so glad I did this study! Numbers is an often-overlooked part of the Bible and contains some difficult passages. Through this study I reaIized that God has so much to teach us in this ancient text. Culture and technology change, but God and people do not, and contentment is something that all of us have struggled with throughout history. In this age of constant media bombardment and the race to have more, finding contentment can be more difficult than ever. Melissa does an outstanding job of explaining the stories and concepts in Numbers and relating them to the issues and challenges we face today. I learned the importance of honest dialogue with God about contentment, and God's power to transform our hearts and minds and find contentment in any situation or season of life. Melissa has a thorough knowledge of scripture but writes in a way that readers with any level of Bible knowledge can relate to and understand. I was very encouraged by this study and highly recommend it!

This is an amazing study! It is so in depth and really makes you evaluate your thinking. We did this as a group Bible study and the leader had a video that was wonderful! Melissa is very knowledgeable and an excellent speaker. I will never look at Numbers in the same light again. Highly recommend!

After sorting through a LOT of studies, we chose this one for the following reasons:1. It was focused primarily on Scripture, not just a theme.2. The workbook was simple but got the participants in the Word.3. It had a flexible format for those who could give various levels of commitment4. It was relevant and practicalThis study has been a great tool for our women’s group. We have a range of ladies, new believers to mature Christians and it has been relevant and helpful to all!Thanks, Melissa for relevant, practical teaching that points us to Jesus!

Enjoyed the perspective of studying a Bible book that's not normally listed in churches' studies. Very well written. Many applicable lessons learned from the Israelites' wanderings in the dessert--not just the numbering or genealogy contained within its pages. Bracelet supplied by our study leader keeps me cognizant of living in a thankful mode for what the Lord has supplied to me in a world that preaches "more, better, bigger, newer," etc. Double-dog dare you to try this one for your Bible study group. I was definitely blessed.

Our group of ladies is using the video with this book but I think you could do this book on your own at your own pace. If you are familiar with the Israelites you can still use this as a reminder of God's plan. A good reminder of how God knows his creation. If you are well versed and studied in early biblical history this might not be your study, but its reminders about being contented hit home.

Your first thought may be, "Numbers?? What can I learn from THAT book of the Bible?" This, however, was one of our study group's favorite books and I have recommended it to others. Not only do you learn a lot of Bible history, but Melissa makes every lesson relevant to you and your life and you learn that God has been, and IS, in control. Each of these lessons is a little on the longer side compared to other studies I've done but it's worth the effort.
