Book of Bones: 10 Record-Breaking Animals

I bought this originally because I fell in love with the cover. After opening it up, I realized that it's actually a really cool book. The book is well illustrated, and there is a fun gritty texture applied to the pages with animals for the reader to feel and see where the bones are. The text is easy to read, informative, and friendly. Overall, my 14 month old son loves reading this with me at night, and I can see us reading it when he gets much older as well.100% Worth it.

This book is such a fun addition to our home library! We got it originally for Halloween, but the information is fantastic and interesting for kids and adults alike. The pictures are great, and the texture on the pages to help kids feel the bones under the animals is clever. We ended up using this to talk about homologous structures and comparing/contrasting how we and the animals are alike or different and how those differences help each creature in their environment.

A big hit of a learning book. Both the 8 and 5 year old thought it was great.

My 4 year old granddaughter is a dinosaur but and she loved it! Little different presentation makes it a little more interesting.

I bought this book for my granddaughters for Christmas. Of all the books they got, this one held their interest for the day. They loved the skeletons you could touch and feel. This book is simple enough for the early reader, and complex enough for older readers. My granddaughters loved it.

I love a good nonfiction book for kids that is visually uncluttered and readable. This book has stunning illustrations and none of the overwhelming text boxes and diagrams that often fill the pages of this genre. Well done!

Great little book.

My 4 and 6-year old love this book. The images are spectacular, you can even feel the skeleton if you touch the pictures of the animals. This books made the kids have an appetite for documentaries presenting the animals in the book.
