**Q: can this be used for 150,000 btu outdoor firepit? 40lb propane tank, 1/2 steel line.**
A: Yes, I have it on 147,000 btu fire ring with 100 lb. cylinder and 1/2 " copper line. Works great

**Q: This may sound funny, but can you use this as a water shut off valve?**
A: I don’t see why not. Ultimately it’s just a gate valve.

**Q: I purchased this to replace my wood log starter in my fireplace. Is there a way to limit how much gas goes through because the flame is way too high**
A: This is an on and off ball valve-you could throttle it shut slowly to limit. I use mine for two gas fireplaces to bring them into code needing a shutoff within 5 feet of flame

**Q: Could I connect the valve directly to the burner**
A: Assuming that you install a flex connector in between, that's the way I'd do it
