Q: Hey I bought one of these fireplaces but only half of the flames are working the other half are not visible. How do you fix this?

I don`t know. I`d return it and get a replacement.

Q: I put this on and the flames were stuck for maybe a minute then it started to move. Is this because it’s on standby mode?

Flames stuck mean either the motor drive is not working or something inside is stuck. The reflective vanes that provide the motion effect are on a long rotating rod driven by a low speed motor. Sometimes the vanes can brush against the inside of the cabinet or a zip tie inside and make a popping sound or jam entirely. You can open the unit and expose the rod and run it and see if what’s sticking is obvious. Easy to do yourself.

Glass, neither matte nor shinny....just the finish of glass.
