I love this little thing. It has a free app that's block coding equivalent to scratch, and it just works right out of the box. So easy to let my little boy mess with the instructions, make it move around, have it talk in his voice etc.It does require some knowledge of basic code concepts like loops, conditional statements, etc, as it doesn't provide that instruction, but if you don't know that stuff, it's easy to get a grasp of the basics before teaching your kid, if you want.

Easy to use and functional but still challenging enough to entertain my son. High quality and great value. Very educational. Can withstand a little abuse from rough kids.

My five-year-old gets to play with Dash in our school library and loves him so much that I knew it would be the perfect gift for Christmas this year. Not only is he easy to set up and great for the curious mind, but I found that even my 17-year-old got a kick out of playing with him. This offers hours of entertainment and purchasing the bundle proved to be a wonderful idea.

The media could not be loaded. Dash, and ALL of its accessories, are in heavy rotation in our microschool. Our scholars are often tasked to code their robots to perform tasks that mirror their lessons in many core subject areas, but we also use them to have FUN! We recently celebrated the start of March Madness with Dash-Ket Ball! Scholars as young as 5 can independently control their Dash and it holds interest and intrigue through middle school. Ordered this and even joined prime to get this next day so I can surprise my son with this toy coz he did very good in his school but got very disappointed coz the box is opened, plastic is cracked and the toy inside looks like it is used and returned!Extremely frustrated!

My 7 year old is big into robots and finding a decent one within the price range we’re willing to spend on a kids toy has been a challenge. I ended up hearing about dash from a teacher at my kids school.At first, we were reluctant based on reviews but after doing tons of research and watching video after video on YouTube, we decided to give dash a try.We’re so glad we did! Right out the box on Christmas morning, our 7 year old fired dash up, downloaded the apps on his iPad, and had dash rolling through our house doing and saying all types of things. The options of what dash can do seem limitless and it’s definitely sparking my son’s creativity.The robot itself is sturdy and durable, I’m interested to see how it holds up over time but it has a great feel rather than the clunky junk feeling robots we’ve had before.So far the battery life has been great. The included micro-usb charging cable was broken upon arrival but we had another laying around so no big deal for us, but I suspect this is the reason for the poor reviews and others unable to get it to power up.All in all, my entire family is impressed and my robotics loving son is thrilled. We’d love to see more dash accessories released in the future but for now, my son is having a blast with everything the accessory pack included.

Very good for young kids EDUCATIONAL

It was a big hit for my 8 year old grandsons birthday. He is really enjoying learning how to code it to do different activities.
