This my 2nd brand of Rhodiola I have tried & I'm now ordering more so my wife can give it a try.This gave me a small boost in energy & a good boost in mood.Definitely recommended!

This is my very first experience taking rhodiola rosea. I purchased this product in hopes of helping to elevate or even out my serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine levels. I have PTSD, major depressive disorder, anxiety and panic disorder, post-concussion syndrome and ADHD for which I am prescribed a few different medications. My adhd medication is the one that I've found really makes the most difference, not only in my ability to focus, follow through to complete my tasks, help to keep my mind from racing in circles, etc, but also in my mood, helping me feel more motivated while calming my anxiety and even relieving my chronic pain symptoms stemming from spinal injuries...helping me just feel pretty normal. Thing is, is that I dont want to take it every day in order to keep my dose on the smaller side and to avoid dependency. But when I don't take it, my depression and anxiety symptoms are terrible. I wanted to try rhodiola rosea until my other medications are able to be changed or adjusted, thinking/hoping that it may help ease some of my symptoms on those off days. I've tried many other supplements mostly without luck. The only one that I had success with is just too expensive to keep up with. I am very pleasantly surprised that after only a few days, I've noticed some actual benefit from this product. Of course it is not the same as taking the medication, but on the off days, my mood is definitely elevated, I am not teary, dreadful, lethargic or anxious and the pit that I often feel in my stomach goes away. No jitters or other side effects... feels very natural! I am pretty impressed with my results... this one is a keeper!

UPDATE: I received a response from the manufacturer that included a cert and an explanation for the smell. They had changed suppliers since that issue was noted but there was no safety concerns.I’m giving this 3-stars and it may go up. Half of the serving brings on a pretty noticeable headache for me. This seems to be a common side effect of Rhodiola but for those who experience this they need to reduce the dosage.Due to the higher concentration of Salidroside than other brands this makes sense. Going to start taking half of a capsule and see if the headache goes away.The part that takes away a star is the strong pungent smell (like isopropyl) and accompanying “burp taste” a little worse than old fish oil. I’ve read responses that it’s due to the higher concentrations but still not something pleasant.I’m hoping for the nootropic effect on my concentration and memory and would like to stack this with bacopa. If the reduced dose alleviates the headache and I can tell a real nootropic benefit I would definitely boost this to 4-stars but the small and aftertaste alone would always deduct 1-star from my review.UPDATE: I received another batch from Subscribe & Save, even though I wasn't wanting it. So I go and crack it open and smell it and NOTHING. Not a hint of that isopropyl smell from the other batch I have. Since I'm taking half of a capsule and confirmed the taste matches the smell I'm going to see what kind of taste this second batch has in it. I figured all of Toniq's Rhodiola had this smell to it and was just part of the mushroom but now I'm a bit concerned they're not properly monitoring/auditing their suppliers processes. Would like to see a cert for concentration of Salidroside and impurities now.

So I did some research about this supplement before buying. Aside from the the benefits of consuming special plant compounds and trace minerals, there was the effect of vivid dreams. I was in with that, so you take it just before you go to sleep. Or in my case about half an hour to an hour before going to bed. I sort of begin to feel fuzzy and sleepy by the time I hit the sack. Then the dreams came quite frequently. Had a dream where I fought off demon zombie hordes with a samurai sword, kept getting knocked down by an aggressive reindeer, seen my daughter drink an immortality potion, and was attacked and killed by a mama moose. So would I buy again? Sure it's not habit forming as I've experienced and seems to have no narcotic or psychedelic effect. A lot of times I'd wake up and knew I had vivid dreams. At times it was challenging to recollect, but overall a positive experience.

For over 2 yrs I've had an energy problem almost falling asleep around 3 - 4 pm. By 6 pm I'd be taking a nap. I also noticed my brain was getting foggy and I wasn't thinking as clearly as I used to. For over 2 yrs I bough many, many different supplements on here for energy and they didn't work. I'd wind up throwing them out and wasting my money.I read an article about Rhodiola Roseasaw and found this brand and read the reviews. The very first time I took one in the morning on an empty stomach it gave me a lift for a few hrs. The next day I took one in the morning and another around 2pm. At 9 pm I was still wide awake and full of energy but still fell asleep at 11pm.It's been 2 weeks now and I take 1 in the morning and one around 2pm and my foggy mind has cleared up, I have more energy and my mood is much better. (the wife loves it too)This stuff is amazing and the ONLY supplement that really works. If I could give it 10 stars I would. If you want to quit feeling like a zombie then this is the stuff to take.
