I use it to get the photos and videos off my phone so that I can have it if my phone goes out. So far, works really well.

When I first got it, I plugged it into my Iphone to back up my photos. It started and it took forever for a few hundred MBs but okay. After a while it stopped, saying an unkown error had occured. Recently I tried to use it on my desktop and laptop. I formatted it both times but as soon as I started copying files, after few minutes of very slow copying, it told me again that an unknown error had occured. Apparently, this thing looks nice but that is about it. A total waste of money!!

I have an iPad Generation 3 that uses the type C connector. I plugged the flash drive into the iPad. I was immediately asked to download the Y Disk app. So the iPad recognized the flash drive but the Y Disk software would not respond. It kept asking me to insert the flash drive. The drive was inserted and seated but not recognized.I have an older iPad 2 that uses the Lightning connector. The Eatop flash drive works perfectly along with the Y Disk software. I can offload videos and save them to a large external hard drive on my computer.I would not recommend using the flash drive for permanent storage. #1 the amount of space on my 1TB drive is very limited. Even though it is supposed to be 1 TB. #2 Other reviewers had stated that files mysteriously disappear. You do not want your files or photos to be lost permanently.Again, the flash drive lightning connector works. It does look like the USB port is not that sturdy. After one day the upper covering flipped up. I pushed it back down and continued using it. Another user noted the same issue with the USB port.I

I love this flash drive product. What an easy and convenient way to save your photos from your cell phone and still have access to those photos. Plus it frees up some space on your phone and we do not have to purchase more storage.
