The rug is thin, but the color is vibrant and it does not slip at all on our laminate flooring. I would say the quality is what you would expect for the low price, and for the kitchen I would not spend a lot. I've been through many rugs in there and sooner or later they all get cooking oil stains or other stuff, so I expect to change it out in two or three years as usual.
