Goes on easy and it’s sheer and silky

I like using liquid blush, but I am pretty fussy about the formulas I use. I do not like blush that is heavy, feels greasy, doesn't play nice with my face makeup and the worst- when it slides off your face hours into wear. There are other LM products I like quite a bit so I figured I would give this a try and see if it was a keeper. Honestly, this has the most amazing looking finish, but it falls short on hydration.The tube arrived super quick. While it was in a box, the box wasn't sealed in any way (no wrapper, no sticker- nothing). There was also no seal around the tube itself. This peeves me a bit because not only can anyone who handles the product have access to adulterate it, but the lack of a seal also allows air to seep in the tube, making it go bad quicker than the suggested 18 month open container symbol suggests. I would think, and expect, that a premium beauty product, at this price point, would really consider product safety a bit more.The tube is slightly larger than a tube of lip care product, with the only difference being the long and narrow distribution top. Even with the controlled top, it is very easy to distribute out too much product at once.I am a die hard skincare junkie and I always pay attention to the formulation and ingredients in my skincare and makeup as well. I was really impressed with this formula- both with the interesting/beneficial ingredients and with what this is free from. Since the formula isn't listed here on the product page, I am adding it to the bottom of my review. You will notice that this is loaded with extracts, many with some very impressive skin benefits. Squaline shows up early on the list, which I appreciate as it is one of the ultimate humectants. My hopes were high.The formula comes out of the tube not too thick and not too watery. A small amount will stay on the face/cheek without sliding/running off. At first, this has a nice, creamy texture. It definitely doesn't feel greasy or heavy- at all. There is no added scent, but there is a very pleasant, light, powdery 'cosmetic' aroma. Once I started to blend this into my skin, it dried up...QUICK! I was amazed at how little time there was to work with this before it gets very dry and incredibly difficult to blend. And when it does dry down, good luck blending it out. This is, for sure, one of those products that you need to work with in small sections at a time.When this is dried down on the skin it almost feels matte and powdery. I was actually nervous at first because for a good 5 minutes after application this feels really dry- tight on my skin and slightly uncomfortable. While I was very happy it wasn't greasy or heavy, I really thought a moisturizer blush would give me more...moisture. Luckily, after it sets for a few minutes, it almost becomes like a second skin. I don't feel it at all. It stays on quite well too. I don't know about a full 12 hours, but I do know that when I apply it at 7am, it is still there at 3pm. The formula doesn't sink into pores or highlight any unfortunate areas of the skin. Matter of fact, I feel like this is probably one of the most natural looking blushes I've ever used or even seen.Color wise, I was a bit confused on what to expect. This is sold as a tint, yet described as medium coverage and opaque. It's not glossy, that much is for sure. But it really doesn't take much product to give the skin a really nice, natural color. I found that just a few small dots of the highly pigmented cream gave me a very adequate color payoff. I did attempt to build off that (for review purposes) and, as long as you work quick, this does build up a lot of color. (again, working QUICK is key!) The formula also plays well with my other makeup, which is always a good thing.Again- I really, REALLY love the look of this blush. I honestly cant recall ever wearing a product that looked as natural as this does. You can look at your skin, in a magnification mirror even, and not see makeup. Instead, it just looks like my skin has a nice bit of color to it. It is seriously impressive and perfect for those days I want to just look natural.This falls short on the moisture part though, which is a bit of a bummer.While the initial dryness goes away, this doesn't really do much (or really anything) to hydrate my skin.It's tough because the overall finish is gorgeous and incredibly natural looking, but getting there isn't that great. Then, this does absolutely nothing to hydrate or moisturize. If you want hydration- this isn't for you. Natural looking blush with a dewy glow

no creasing or bringing out fine lines. very buildable. beautiful color. stays on all days. very hydrated and light formula 9/10. wish it blended a bit more seamlessly but nonetheless a very beautiful blush

I have used Laura Mercier products in the past (my wedding day makeup was all Laura Mercier) and I was very pleased with the results. As someone with dry and sensitive skin, I am cautious with the products I use. This product felt like a hydrating serum and blended into my skin seamlessly. I was a little too heavy-handed in my first application so a little of the product goes a LONG way. I have light skin and this shade gave me more of a glow than my regular blush. I’m excited to try this blush in other shades. I highly recommend this product!

I hadn't tried a moisturizer/blush combination before. I liked that it absorbed into my skin very quickly. That said, it might have been a bit too quick, as I didn't seem to be able to spread it fast enough. For me, it dried 'in place.'I do love the color; it is a very subtle pink and IMO a good color for anyone.I recommend this blush, but only gave it four stars due to having some issues spreading it properly.

I have always avoided cream and liquid blush because I didn't think it would be easy to control the application and I worried it would look clown-like.This Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer blush definitely changed my mind. This formula is very pigmented so a little goes a very long way. I use it after my foundation and contour, dabbing a tiny dot on my cheeks and using a firm blush brush to sweep into my blended contour and then I set with translucent powder. The color is rich and beautiful and lasts all day without any fading or caking.I literally love this stuff and since such a small amount is needed, I feel that this tube will last a very long time.I would definitely recommend this.
