Maybe half of the pill would Be in tact but the entire other half would be crushed, like powder. **Q: Does the powder from crushed pills get stuck in the grooves?** A: I only had powder from probiotics stuck a bit, which was already prepowdered I was just mixing it with another pill for a dog. Overall I really like this item, so helpful. **Q: Why if this is Prime am I not going to get it until November 14th** A: we have joined the Prime system, contact Amazon support to resolve this issue **Q: Can it split oval pill into 3?** A: Nope. I found this one, and it fits the bill.Pros:1. 99.9% of the time, it does a great job cutting the pill exactly in half, and I can live with that small margin for error.2. This is great for someone who doesn't have much hand strength, because it takes very little effort to get the job done.3. It works well on small and large pills.4. While it might not be that important to most people, I'm so happy that I could get this in a color other than blue. I'm a color coordination freak, and blue doesn't go with much of anything in my house. The lime green is so pale that it's hardly noticeable!5. It's quiet. I've had some pill cutters that made a really loud noise when cutting, and this one is quiet in comparison.Cons: I can't really think of any.Since I don't have a need to crush pills at the moment, I can't speak to its ability to do this.
