Must read
✨Contains Spoilers✨The mystery behind what really happened to Casey had been weighing on me since I read Misfit. Who would just leave her alone to die? Why didn’t Fenn stay with her? Having Casey’s point of view helps understand her recollection and memories of that night. The nightmares, trauma, fears, the loneliness, self doubt. Her ability to still be optimistic, lighthearted, and positive, after everything she went through, is abnormal. But after learning what Fenn has been keeping from her, her walls start to go up, and a numbness takes over. She starts to fight back against her bullies, not letting people walk over her, push back against everyone acting like she glass, and feels lighter, less tainted. But it only can last so long before reality slaps her in the face.I loved getting more of Salons, RJ, Fenn, and Lawson POV’s and learning more about them. I don’t know what it is, but Silas gets on my last nerve. I think I can’t stand him more than Duke, and that’s saying something. Discovering why Fenn decided not to say anything about that night starts to unravel the events that led to the truth. And there was one moment, when Casey was talking to Lucas, that had my brain scratching. Nothing about his personality nor the way her was towards her made me think it was him until he said “maybe it was a girl”. I don’t know why, but it made me pause. And then it ends on another cliffhanger! I was screaming and left waning more. I need Lawson to find his person. He is so misunderstood and lonely. I hate how everyone just writes him off and accepts his behavior as normal, except Casey.“Lately I’ve made it a point not to lie to her. Any more than I already have and no more than necessary. I’m trying this new path of absolute uncomfortable honesty. Sort of. It’s complicated. I don’t know. I guess it feels like I’m trying to compensate for all the other ways I’m about to screw her up.”“Casey filled that pocket with light. A billion stars breathed into existence. It’s corny as shit and twice as depressing, but entirely true. She’s more than special. She’s the kind of person they don’t make enough of, who inspires everyone else with her compassion and goodness. Completely unselfish or self-impressed.”“Lawson, who’s standing fully naked a few feet away, smothers an excited grin because he’s been dying for this confrontation for two weeks. Lawson Kent loves chaos. It didn’t take more than a few hours at Sandover Prep for me to learn that. The guy craves destruction, both self and otherwise, on a level that’s almost scary.”“He took my friendship for granted and made me a doormat. Because kindness is a quality people never fail to abuse. They assume it makes us weak and naive. I guess in my case they’re right. I was weak and naive. I was stupid to trust him. Stupid to love him. And the anger I feel toward both him and myself stays with me all morning.”“Dude,” our team captain says in a low voice. “You okay?” And that’s when I know I’ve hit rock bottom. When Duke frickin’ Jessup shows genuine concern for me.”“Fenn has always been able to see right through me, and he does so now. “You miss me too,” he says softly. “No,” I lie. “You miss me.” He takes a step closer. I take a step back. My fingers tremble around the softball bat, and his blue eyes drop to it. “Put the bat down, baby.” A sob catches in my throat. I think this might be the first time he’s used that endearment, and it succeeds in breaking off another chunk of my brittle heart.”“I realized I could keep hiding and let them make me ashamed for the rest of my life, or I could turn that attention against them. Become so conspicuous, they’d be afraid to look. The best defense is a good offense, Tresscott.”“Why choose to be the wilting flower when I can be the thorn?”

Another Elle Kennedy win!
Spoiler-Free Review:Another great read from Elle Kennedy that I devoured in like 24hrs! This is book picks up where Misfit left off, but this time the main storyline revolves around Casey. We still get glimpses of RJ and Sloane with I enjoyed because I love them. Casey is Sloane’s younger sister, and she was involved in an accident that’s left her with some memory loss and ptsd. The mystery of what happened that night still haunts her but she eventually finds friendship and solace in Fenn. I really like Fenn and I guess I sort of have a soft spot for him. The book is written in multi POV so there are some subplots happening in the background, but the main focus is Casey and Fenn’s navigation of turning from friends to lovers. It also centers on Casey coping with her trauma and feeling like her father and Sloane have put her in a bubble with their overprotective tendencies. I wouldn’t say this is a spicy book. There are definitely a few scenes but they’re not frequent. There’s mystery, there’s secrets, a twist at the end, an amazing cast of characters, and so many things I love, and as usual the writing was great! I took off one star because I found Casey hard to connect with. Maybe that’s because she is an older teenager and I’m 31– I’m not sure, but I enjoyed it over all. This is a new adult series, 18+ for sexual content, language, situations.

Loved it but was hoping for an actual romance
I am really struggling with how to rate this one. Did I gobble this up in one sitting? Yes. Did I salivate at all the drama and mystery? Yes. Was this a romance? No. This is Casey's story and I get that but I was really expecting or hoping for more of her story to actually be a romance and it wasn't. In that respect this book was a bit disappointing. But on the other hand, I loved the multiple POVs, I loved the drama and the mystery. I couldn't get enough of it. Although, I don't think I can forgive Casey for what she did. Blame Lawson all you want but she did that as pure revenge and I don't think I can forgive her. Good thing that Fenn does though.Romance: 2 starsYA/NA: 5 starsAverage: 3.5 Stars

it was good
I liked how the story picked up right where we left off in the first book. This book was different than the first one, we had the same story line but in a different view.

not my favorite
No cliffhangerStandalone love story but part of a larger seriesTold from multiple POVs (lost count)You will definitely need to read these in order to have any clue what is going onI love this author and have read every one of her books but for some reason this series just isn’t doing it for me. Perhaps it is because there are so many characters to keep up with. It’s hard to get into the love story when it is interrupted every few chapters by characters that don’t add at all to that particular romance. This series is more suspense romance than just pure romance though so I get the need for other things to be happening but it doesn’t make it any easier to follow. I’m also wondering if I’m just getting too old for high school romances. Lol. While all the characters have a vocabulary that far exceeds mine they are still immature high school students and as someone approaching 40 that just doesn’t have the same appeal it did when I was younger.Still love this author though. Just likely won’t purchase any other books from this series.

I really loved it!!
The drama surrounding what happened to Casey that fateful night continues with many twists and turns. I was dying to know all the answers and was surprised one was left unanswered. Is there a third book?? I hope so. Ms. !Kennedy knows what she left hanging and hopefully continues this series. I love Sloane and RJ's presence and continued story in this book and Casey and Film's story was a journey to where they wanted to be. Actually two questions are unanswered. What happens to Lawson?? I like his character. What's with Silas, he has a sinister vibe about him in this book. Such a good story but lots of loose ends. Look forward to a third book hopefully.

Brilliant follow up to Misfit
These troupe is kind of a guilty pleasure of mine. I hate that I like reading about entitled rich kids and all their problems but at the same time I can’t get enough! 😂When I finished reading Misfit last year I knew I was going to read the next book as soon as it came out. This book focuses on Casey and Fenn. Its told its told from the multiple perspectives of Casey, Fenn, Lawson, Silas, RJ and Sloane. The big theme of this story is the relationship between Casey and Fenn and only the mystery about what happened to Casey on Prom night.I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I like that we POVs from multiple different characters. I didn’t care for Fenn in Misfit and my feelings have not changed, I have no sympathy for him and found him annoying as hell. I did like Casey, I thought her character development was really good. The one character that I did really connect with was Lawson, like I just want him to be happy and can we please get a book dedicated to him?? 🙏Overall, this was a great following up to Misfit and judging from the ending it looks like there is going to be a 3rd book…. Well that’s what I’m hoping anyway.

Must read!
I didn’t think that the second book out of this series could even be better than the first but DAMN! Rogue blow my mind. The friends dynamics in this book are so incredible and I really love that each chapter is told from a different person. Couldn’t put the book away. Can’t wait for the third one (there is a cliffhanger at the end so I hope for a 3rd!!)

Elle Kennedy can do NO WRONG!!! Perfection!!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The first book had me hooked, I could not wait to read this book. It was everything I could’ve wanted for a sequel. Reading the point of views of Casey and Fenn really brought a lot together. The reveal we’ve been waiting on was great, it really explained all the secrecy around the events. I am very much team Fenn but at one moment I really didn’t know. I think the fights were a little bit much didn’t enjoy them, but it was nice to see Lawson in a different light. Lawson is defs my favourite character in the entire series and I really hope we get to learn more about him in the future.
