SCG Weed Thrasher

The weed thrasher arrived on time and as expected. Works good except the plasticcutters are not as durable as me old ones but they will do the job.

Great design, easy to install and use. Wish that the "whips" were more durable.

It came on time and it was in good condition, but there was not a nut in the box to fit my weed eater, i'm still looking for the right size nut.

The product works great as long as you don`t go at the yard weeds at full throttle. I did that and the left "thrasher" snapped in two right at the pivot point. If you only use 1/3 throttle (Low RPM) they won`t snap off. I am using it on a Stihl FS 55R Straight shaft. I did have to be a little creative. The shaft is too long for the Weed Thrasher, but I solved the "play" issue with a steel washer at the top of the unit. Otherwise if you hit a tall patch of grass, it disengages from the driveshaft and the weedwhacker "freewheels".

I had to modify to fit poulan pro trimmer and the nylon cutters dont last long

This is a very good product, it is easy now to change when the strings are short. The red strings are the best don't get the purple ones.
