Very well built and has everything it says
For a starter kit, it was very easy to pick up and learn. Instructions not entirely all on there but I've have done my research.

Great kit, could use more instructions for beginners
As is seemingly always the case with these tattoo kits marketed for beginners, this one could use better instructions for actual beginners who are just getting started. All the gear can be confusing to someone who has never used it before, and there is a steep learning curve to these things that some proper instructions could really help smooth out.Other than this, the kit has a good range of items you would need to get started. The fake practice skin is nice and thick and has a good neutral color. The machine is easy to use and comfortable to hold, and looks great. It has a nice feel and doesn't make too much noise or vibrate excessively. Given the price, the quality was surprisingly good. I don't know how well it would hold up to regular use- only time can really tell that for sure. But for getting started, it's definitely decent. Obviously you will want to get more gloves, but at least you can get started. I would consider this kit a good introductory set that needs some supplement to actually be useful, but it's a foot in the door.

One of the most complete "Beginner" kits... but no battery option!
This is by far one of the most complete "beginner" tattoo sets that I have come across. It's very well put together, and I'm sort of amazed at the quality of the individual components given the inexpensive asking price on this unit.As I have stated in previous reviews, the rotary tattoo machine takes some getting used to for an old timer like me. I did my first tattoo (on myself) close to 50 years ago. In the years that followed I had several different conventional setups, but many years back I had occasion to purchase one of the first rotary tattoo machines, which I believe was called the "Revolution" or the "Evolution". Either name would have been appropriate, but frankly, I found the rotary machine entirely impossible to become accustomed to. It was beautifully made, and accepted standard tattoo needles and tubes... and that was the problem. The new breed of rotary machines, or as some call them, "pens" are so much more sophisticated. They truly are light years away.I don't find much difference in the performance of these rotary machines in most respects. The one exception to that (and keep in mind, I am a newbie to this type of machine) is the shape of the machine. To my mind there are several shapes, but this more cylinder-like machine just seems more comfortable in my hand. The fact that I can add a bit of grip tape to customize it makes it even better. Gone are the days of cramped hands due to the older, narrower grips on the needle tubes. Any old-timers reading this would have to agree.I will only add that I am not a pro, and have always practiced tattooing simply for the love of it.That said, this kit is really something. Here are just some of what is included: The tattoo machine itself, which is a rotary, powered by an RCA cable and a power supply. Very simple setup. You even get a foot control (rheostat), for even better control over the stroke of the machine.I should mention that this little power supply unit is itself very adequate, with easy adjustment, digital display, and gold-anodized case. The case has some fins to dissipate heat, as well. Very nice. In fact, the power supply alone (in my mind) is well worth the purchase price of this entire kit. Every else is icing on the tattooed cake!Next comes an assortment of quality cartridges in a mix of types. These are all very nice quality, and are all individually packed and sterile, as one would expect. The next item is an odd addition, and one I have yet to see in another beginner kit: It's a traditional tattoo "poke" stick. Yes, this is the tool that accepts a standard (traditional) tattoo needle bar, and allows you to tattoo the way... and I mean OLD! If you've ever seen pics of how they do traditional tattooing in places like Polynesia you will recognize this tool. Not something I would ever use, but certainly interesting. The kit even includes a set of 20 individual tattoo needles on bars, all wrapped in sterile packs. Very nice, indeed. The foot switch, or rheostat is also of very decent quality, given that it's part of a larger kit. I was surprised by this. The tattoo machine itself is very good quality, and the machining is excellent. Very smoothly done, and excellent finish. Very comfy to hold (to me; everyone is different). Powering it on impressed me immediately by the quiet smoothness. If you're used to arcing and sparking, this will take some getting used to.One set of black latex gloves. Nothing special to say about that. It's nice that they're included in the kit, but run out and get more gloves. It's a must.Practice tattoo skin that is very pink, and two-sided. It's nice and thick. I would say it's not quite as supple as some I have seen, but certainly very serviceable. This is another item that you must immediately purchase more of since one sheet just ain't gonna do it. Practice, practice, practice!A nice selection of ink caps. Clearly adequate for starting out.A sheet of transfer paper. Yeah... get some more. You'll need it.Some useless instructions.A selection of the most basic colors. My recommendation is that these are perfectly fine for practice. However, when you're ready to work on real skin, it pays to invest in quality inks. Two rolls of black grip tape. Hey! Other kits only have ONE roll!!!A very nice hard plastic case to keep it all in, if you can figure out how once you've removed everything. So my final thought is this: Why is there no battery pack? Yes, I realized that they include a very nice power supply, but a battery pack makes it even better. In fact, this plug/jack setup fits battery packs perfectly. I know because I threw mine on and it works like a dream. That is the one caveat to this entire kit. There should be a battery pack. Having the option of battery (cordless) operation, and working off a cord is a great thing. They should have done it.I understand that there is just so much they can include at a kit for this price, and in fairness, they did a super job. This one issue won't stop me from giving it five stars. It's really that good.UPDATE:6-17-2022 Shame on me for not having checked EVERYTHING in the kit! I hooked this unit up to my existing setup at home (my existing power supply, etc.), and it all worked.Today, I found that the included foot-pedal does not work... at all.Granted, it's only about a 9, or 10 dollar piece, but I'm angry at not having gone through everything to make certain it all works. Caveat emptor!

Nice kit!
Decent set for beginners or to just practice and play with! Ink is not best quality though! But the pen itself feels pretty good in my hand! Nice grip! Comes with convenient case to pack and Tat!!!
