Heavier gauge jumper cables are definitely the way to go. They carry the charge easier and are substantially more durable. These are 10 gauge - not the thickest you can buy, certainly, but a good compromise, price wise, between heavy duty cables and "bargain basement" products.The storage bag is also a nice feature.I have a set of cables in all of my cars - just in case!

I bought these, because I like a large 6 gauge cables. They come with Gloves, the cables, which have LED lights so you can see what your doing. Are very good quality.

The cables work great and I love the gloves. The brush on the bristles bent and the carrying bag was horrible. It ripped the second time I used it. All in all I think it’s still a good deal.

I bought these to keep in my truck for emergencies and occasionally rescuing my kids when they forget to turn off their lights and drain their batteries. I like how "heavy" these cables are and the grips clamp down very well on the battery terminals. The cable length makes it easier to come at different angles safely. Overall, these are well built/designed and glad I bought these for future emergencies.

I needed to use them 2 days after receiving them and they did the job. They come with a nice bag, too, if you don’t have a storage compartment available in your car.
