Chemtronics 80-3-10 Soder-Wick Rosin SD Desoldering Braid

I was a bit disappointed with this last purchase. It is almost 1mm smaller in width than the one I previously purchased on Amazon which was 3mm in width. It works as good as a Chemtronics solder wick always has, but I go thru it much faster now due to smaller width.I also purchased Chemtronics 80-4-10, which should be 4mm in width. Last purchase I made of this product is also almost 1mm smaller in width.Is Chemtronics going the way of the "grocery scam" where the box is still the same size, but net weight keeps going down???? Or did I purchase a different brand in a Chemtronics looking saucer? So many knock-offs these days, even in the soldering world.

My soldering iron may not get hot enough but it is pretty hard to get this stuff to wick anything up. Between it, a solder sucker and luck, you may be able to remove a bit from the PC board. Guess I'll have to break down and buy a vacuum type.

I use this product at work.Heats well and absorbs very nicely

I used this product when soldering on a circuit board, and to remove any excess solder that I made. It worked as described and I would buy it again.
