The app allows you to view the camera anytime you want and can take photos and record video through the app. The actual camera view is a bit narrower than other cameras I've tried, but if you can get it pointed in the desired location it does its job. I'm trying a few other options I also ordered, but if they don't work out, I'm ordering multiple of these to secure my office. I would say the only negative is the massive amount of notifications you get from the app, but that's easily resolved by turning notifications off. Would I recommend this camera?
