Great quality tea
I was so excited for this tea. I made the tea once It was delivered! I boiled a pot of hot water and put some roasted barley in the pot and continue boiling for maybe 1 minute. Then covered the pot and let it steep until it was warm. It tasted just like what I expected.I am happy I made this purchase. The longer it seeps, the darker the tea becomes, and the roasted taste is stronger. I guess it’s personal preference how long you want to seep your tea.

Mild tasting with good fragrance Barley tea
My family love this tea because the taste is lighter than Barley tea from Korean grocery store. The taste is clear and has good fragrance -very similar to Taiwan Barley tea. If you like dark roasted Barley tea, you might not like this one.

Just a bag of brown rice.
This is literally just a bag of rice. The package has a label of ‘brown rice tea’ and another smaller label of ‘brown rice’.

Wasn't for me; thought it was roasted rice for genmai type tea
I'm not a tea expert by any means and I'm sure that this type of tea has many supporters. But it wasn't for me and I'll be the first to admit that it was my fault. But buying something you don't like and is different than you thought it might be, are some of the risks associated with online buying where you can't see first, what you're about to buy.I was originally looking for a type of roasted and popped rice that is often added to green tea to create genmaicha. This "tea" by McCabe seems to be something different that the Japanese roasted and popped rice. As it turns out, I did manage to find what I was looking for on Amazon in the form of Senbird's Mochi Rice Tea product, so all is good. Unfortunately, I was unable to return the McCabe product I purchased. I'm sure it's a great tea that many enjoy, but be aware that it is not (in my view), the traditional type roasted and popped rice you find in Genmaicha teas from Japan.I gave McCabe's product 4 stars because I can't knock what is apparently different than what I expected. At the same time, I did try the tea, and I deducted a star because my opinion on it's taste is something I can provide a personal opinion on, and it wasn't something I would enjoy as a tea for myself.

Tastes like toasted cereal!!!!
This is my first time trying barley tea and I fell in love instantly!!!!! I added a 1tsp scoop and ended up adding 2tsp to a strainer ball and was able to do 2 brews on it just fine with 2 pieces (about a tsp each) of jaggery for sweetness. It’s so so so good I love it so much it might be one of my fave teas! I see this mixing well with other teas too to give a unique flavor, plus the bag is MASSIVE and so this will last probably forever
