works well. After initial heat up, I keep it on lowest setting and take the lid off before use - that is the perfect temperature for my hands. I put it on standby overnight. I used all the wax that they sent and have not had to add any after 2 months. As I am the only person using it, I peel off the wax and put it back in the machine.

One significant negative, with everything else 5+ stars. After 32 days of daily home use by one fastideous person no addition parafin wax has been needed to bring back up to maximum level. My email to customer service described what occured in the melt mode. I do not know if I have a defective unit or what occured is simply a protective cycle? I have one other small reservation. Keeping the wax melted withou,t having to wait 2.5 or more, is a tremendous improvement. The draw has almost no effect on the electric bill! The packaging is excellent. Construction superb. The thinking that has gone into a highly affordable unit must have elvolved over the years. The units for sale, I saw had 8 pounds paraffin wax where as the currently shipped unit have six. That is secondary to having a unit with reliable heat control, plenty of room, excellent depth. Fragrance of wax is pleasant and lightweight. The manner of attatching the cover is simple and adequate. Each day before user gets home I change the heat setting from standby to the next heat level. In a matter of minutes the wax is then at an ideal temperature and completely melted. Controls are straight forward and easy to read. The electrical chord is well placed and much better constructed than others. Cord length is adjustable by keeping a portion in the circular slot on the underside. The feet well thought out. The unit design promotes easy lifting. If not as well designed the weight might be an issue to a frail person. If I had had a customer service response my personal opinion would be 5 star+++ overall rating.It is now used for elbow and hands nightly and feet each morning.

The wax melts really well and smells amazing. It is very moisturizing.

I bought this for my wife after asking my physical therapist what I should do to help her. This machine is designed for use by a commercial facility, sorta. It works great in the home, if you have a place you can keep it and if you can pay to keep it on all the time. Not that it costs that much to run. But to help you it does have to be in ready condition and it takes a long while to get to ready condition from a cold start. You can keep it in standby mode. Plan ahead to use it. For a commercial spa you wouldn't notice these issues.However, it has been very effective in reducing the discomfort brought on by arthritis in the hands or feet. So . . . bottom line, it works for us. It makes me happy that I could do something to help my wife with her pain. Lucky shot, I guess.I bought a lavender scent package of wax. I am sure peach would be just fine for others.

I use it for my aunt’s knee. She has rheumatoid arthritis. I did not rate the “easy to use” rating because I had to make it work differently since the paraffin machine works mainly for submerging the hands or the feet so I had to spread the paraffin by hand throughout her knees. My aunt says that the heat along with the the moisture consistence of GIGI eucalyptus against her skin helps her with the pain. I’m just glad it offers her some degree of relief. It smells great too! I will order it again.

I wasn't able to test it out immediately...by the time I was able to test it, it was too late to begin the return process. This paraffin bath never once, ever, heated up. There is zero heat. None. Considering that is the product's SOLE purpose for existing... So, now I'm stuck with a $125.00 useless piece of...oh I'm real impressed. If you chance ordering this piece of garbage, I suggest you test your unit out IMMEDIATELY.

Stopped working after one week, no more heat.... For this price...Very disappointed.

Love, love, love my GiGi bath! It is easy to use and my hands and feet feel terrific after a treatment. The peach wax is lovely and the time that it takes to melt the wax is very reasonable. I like the fact that there is a temperature setting on the machine.I am now addicted to hot wax treatments!

Really good quality but it would be even better if there is no scent.
