Lovely book, gave to my 15 year old nephew for his birthday who is very keen to visit places off the beaten track when he gets a bit older, so we thought if we get him a book he can look at the pictures instead ! Beautiful images and very informative and interesting and looks nice on the coffee table if nothing else.

This is such a lovely book that I bought 3! The layout is good and the recommendations are interesting.

This book is useful for the world traveller, a one time or once in a while traveller, and also for the armchair traveller. It is well written, well done, and just plain fun to peruse.

I really liked this book as a gift for someone who really enjoys low-key but still picturesque locations. The descriptions were fairly short but detailed enough for a first intro. Personally, i found alot of the photos came out a little washed-out, which isnt a major discouragement but still a pity. My main gripe though, is with the delivery. It arrived quickly BUT due to scratch on the front cover, I just dont think it's acceptable to give as a present anymore. It looks like a knife scratched it from the middle all the way down. The book arrived in a non-padded cardboard envelope with no other form of protection or perhaps the scratch was there before being packaged and delivered. Not sure, but am miffed.
