This is exactly as shone and advertised. Great, lightweight, compact and easy to set up. Comes with its own case, which is nice for storage.YES- I'd recommend it to friends, yes, I think it's a good deal IF you are looking for a light weight set.NOTES: (See photos for details)-Basic directions, not overly detailed but once you get it once you'll be fine.-You can't store the heads on the stands in the bag for the taller stands, they won't fit in the bag.-The parts are light. Very light. The whole set can be easily picked up with one hand. Because they are light they are not overly strong so be slow and gentle with them and they will be fine. Also: they will scratch in the bag, it's unavoidable. If you want to repack them in their boxes every time they will last longer unscratched. but personally, I'd just get used to the idea that they will get scratched and just don't care! I compromised by putting them back in their plastic bags.-The bulbs are fine and will work for some things but be ready to replace them. Also: best to store them in the boxes for safety, there is room in the bag.-The cables are a good length but get a power strip so they all plug into one place. There will be space in the bag, no worries.-This set is not made to be set up and taken down over and over. Either set it up and leave it or use it occasionally. I think everyday set up and take down would wear the parts out quickly.-The stands reach up to a great hight, all the way to my ceilings. (About 10 feet)-The heads are adjustable to the umbrellas can be at different angles.-You CAN add another umbrella to the third stand but it is short and can't be extended to the same hights.All that said I really like this kit! If you are looking for fill-in lights for video and product photos this is totally worth it.Enjoy!NOTE: I had one piece break ( a light switch) right after I wrote this first review. Their costumer service could not have been better or faster. I had a resolve in 50 minutes the new part in 3 days. I have since used the set up with no problems at all.Great little set!

Price was good for the set, and love having the case to repackage them in for moving. Wish they were a little sturdier, as I knocked one over the second day that I used them and broke the bulb.

Amateur in need of serious lighting quickly. I could have done far better at a hardware store. Lighting didn't seem to increase at all and umbrellas are almost see through. Paper would also work. Not an ideal choice

The kit I received had a broken piece and a warped screw which made it impossible to lock in one umbrella. I could have lived with both issues but the kicker was how dim the lights were. My image with out the lighting was the same as with. No difference. Super disappointed.

Provides plenty of reflected light without shadows. Assembles in a snap and with adequate physical integrity in a light-weight design. Versatile, easy to use.

Easy to assamble, arrived on time, as presented in add. Neatly packaged in bag. Only one short liner manual with few photos, but sufficient for assembly. No surprises, no disappointment.
