I needed a slim bracket to place a frame around an access door that i was putting in a ceiling. I had to saw through one ceiling 2x4 and put in a square frame.These are well built and the screw set fits the wider holes in the brackets, so you can mount the screw head flush with the bracket face. That is very useful when sliding in the 2x4s. Everything was simple, fit well and is more than adequate for a drywall ceiling.I would not use them for any large weight bearing studs, but for light duty they are plenty strong.

These are great strong brackets and did a great job reinforcing my barn.

Would give them five stars if they came with quality screws; steel screws?? Felt more like butter. Do yourself a favor and get rid of them right away.

I am very happy with these - my fence is absolute garbage and is literally wasting away. At several points the top 2x4 is at best half there and the ends of the 2x4 are pretty rotted also. It can take some work to fine a bracket that resolves some of those issues. I've done a variety of fixes up to and including replacing the entire 2x4 section. My wife wants the entire fence replaced but I'm still attempting to cobble it together with brackets like these.These brackets are pretty awesome. Nice galvanized bracket that is easy to install. Screw it in place and then you can place the 2x4 inside it and install some screws to keep it secure. As long as the existing 2x4 still has wood there, that works perfectly. I don't see a price currently, but as long as it's reasonably affordable, I would recommend!

These do what they're supposed to. I had some "insert" style ones before and our cold Wisconsin winter destroyed the plastic things. They either broke, or the 2x4's fell out because of cold-weather shrinkage. Yes, shrinkage is real. So, these metal ones may not look as classy as the black molded plastic ones, but they do what they say and just plain work. You can actually attach the 2x4's with screws that minimize the effects of the shrinkage and keeps them up. I used these on my pergola covering my back patio.

These are made well. Durable and hefty. They come with screws so you don't need to worry about purchasing them separately. They haven't rusted or anything, are really simple to use and I think a great value for the money.

I find these galvanized fence brackets are just the thing needed to secure the wood rails in wood fences. I have used this type of bracket on many wood fences, and I know they extend the useful life of the wood fence. They also make it much easier to replace a fence rail that breaks or becomes warped over time. I really like that this fence bracket set comes with two different sizes of stainless steel screws to secure the fence rails. I recommend this product.
