Makita 18V Lxt 5 Piece Cordless Combo Kit

Haven't had a chance to use these particular tools yet, but we have some of these at work and they have been good. Very impressed with the value for money. Very heavy construction compared to like porter cable that my dad has. The picture shows that it comes with a carry bag, but the bag is huge with multiple compartments, wheels and a hidden zip out extendable handle. The bag is like a small hockey gear bag. Just Very impressed with the kit especially for the money I spent. I hardly review things unless they really impress or disappoint. Very happy with these and don't foresee any issues. If they turn out to be a turd, I'll update. H

NOTE: That there is a higher voltage model of this kit, this is 18v, the newer one is 24v. Drills are exceptional, but tried using the circular saw a few times and it’s definitely underpowered. You will need to go slow, a lot slower for thicker plywood. Cutting a 2x4 takes patience. The flashlight… is a freebie, not very bright but lasts. Saws all works well!

I worked for this company for a number of years. They always have gone above and beyond as far as innovative thinking and quality. I have not had a chance to use all this stuff yet but I charged the batteries and checked the function of all the tools. Always impressed with trigger switches and how smoothly progressive their ramp up is. The bag is worth it alone. They never skimped on merch or swag at Makita. Glad I was able to pick this up. I'm sure I'll have it forever.

Liked all .. the bag is even high quality baggage, has a pull out handle and wheels for airport. A unexpected surprise

I needed a Sawzall about six years ago and got my first 18V Makita. Last year I added a chainsaw and string trimmer. I was on Amazon looking for a hand planer and ran into this. I live on a few acres of woods with one large field. Even though I had the Sawzall I do a lot of limbing and the lighter saw in this group seemed just the thing. At 68 I'm really into getting useful things which are light. I have a 1946 Skillsaw model 77 which is a beast and saws a precise straight line despite my best efforts to screw it up. A light circular saw for lighter tasks will get a lot of use. There were two returns for $259 rated "Acceptable". One had cosmetic damage top, bottom and sides, the other a "small hole". I chose the small hole and have yet to find it. The drill and parts of the bag were dusty, which I'm sure got it marked down. The bag is quite large with a ridiculous number of pockets both outside and in. This set of tools takes up less than a quarter of its space. I'm quite happy with the purchase.

Makita makes the best tools (in my experience and my opinion only) and this is a great deal. Very happy with this set.and everything arrived in working order.
