This ruler (set) is of excellent quality, and an excellent value.Regarding those who complain that the v-groove is too deep, I disagree. If you're doing precise work, and your measurements (and your cuts) are to the center of your pencil line, then I've found that this v-groove results in exactly 1/32 offset. So you just compensate your measurement by 1/32 inch. EASY.No matter what brand you're using, if you're drawing a line based on either the v-groove of a ruler, or even just off the end of a ruler or tri-square, you must compensate for the width of your pencil lead, the v-groove depth, etc. You experiment, and learn what the offset must be, and then you compensate every time! This tool offset is 1/32 inch, (for the pencil lead I use) which I think is perfect.Oh, and if you want a shallower v-groove, just take a file and 30 seconds and create another one.

The ruler itself is a little thick, but still usable and quite handy. Given the US Made version is not available in Australia not a bad alternative
