Best Tape for Connecting Dryer Exhaust Hose to Home Ceiling Pipe.
I tried a lot of different metal foil HVAC tapes to try to re-connect my dryer exhaust hose to ceiling pipe. And they might hold for a few days, but then, they come apart. Now I'm no plumber, but I did my best to use the tape. These typical aluminum foil tapes are about 6 mils thick and have an acrylic adhesive. Well, that's the problem, the tape is thin and the acrylic adhesive sucks. So this Polyken Berry Plastics Silver Duct Tape is 14 mils thick and has a rubber adhesive. Oh, this is the tape that works. Now I taped it up, and it's permanent. Beautiful Dryer works again because it that exhaust is not connected, the dryer shuts off. I'm no plumber. I'm no handyman. But this tape made me feel like one!
