I received the 3 pack, 2 pearl and 1 pink and all 3 looked completely unusable. After emailing their support email, I got a response and they sent out a 3 pack of the pearl oyster mushrooms. After emailing about their mistake but stating I was happy with the 3 pearl they also sent out a pink kit. Very happy with the new kits and the great customer service. I bought the pink kit before and it taste amazing and was super easy to grow which is why I got the 3 pack. I also gave one to my grandma as a gift and she loved it.

I was extremely disappointed with this three pack of oyster mushroom grow kits. The mushroom bricks inside of each kid were full of water, soaked and disintegrating. I tried to prepare one of them, and it did not grow anything at all. The other two kits had mushroom bricks that were not manageable, they were all in pieces and a sopping mess. I had purchased a number of mini oyster mushroom grow kits In the past and they grew beautiful mushrooms, I do not know what happened to these three full size mushroom grow kits before I receive them. I would never purchase these kits again, they were a complete waste of money.

I'm rating the customer service here. I had three boxes that were a bad batch (didn't even start the process, they were born bad). Wrote the company. I provided them the photos and the serial numbers on the batches and they swiftly shipped out three new boxes. Super easy. Now I have three boxes all set to go - and they look good.

These kits are great for growing mushrooms. Follow the instructions and they grow well. You can even grow a few more a second flush. Fresh mushrooms taste the best.The problem: These larger kits have the same size fruiting block (aka the growing medium) as the Back To The Roots Mini Grow Kit. The only difference is the larger kit has a spray bottle and more colorful and thorough instructions (just look up the instructions online and watch their videos). The mini kits just have the fruiting block and so are a better value.Other great things about the company: They stand behind their product. We got one which looked a bit off (extra spidery white mass covering the bottom half of the block), which was probably an infection. It never grew even after a several weeks, so contacted support and they helped us out right away. Will be buying from the company again.

ALL 9 showed up UNUSABLE looking like bags of liquid feces. Had to return EVERY SINGLE ONE because of lacking quality control.Amazon continued to sell defective units FOR MONTHS, knowing they were defective by just discounting the defective items and HOPING PEOPLE DON’T CARE AND DON’T RETURN THEM.TERRIBLE PRODUCT.NO QUALITY CONTROLALL HASSLE AND A WASTE OF TIME3 different trips to Staples to return liquid POOP that AMAZON shipped to me.UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Bought this 3-Pack for Christmas. The regular oyster boxes were fine but the pink box was liquid. Emailed BTTR and they were amazing about replacing it after getting the lot number and a picture. New one came in several days ahead of schedule and they started growing quite fast. We're three or four days in now and looking forward to the harvest. Thanks for the <24 hr response and great service. I did this once about 8 years ago and it was cool then too. Would definitely buy again!

I have bought these 3 pack twice. On the Second time, one of the Oyster mushroom pack grew mold. I carved it out, but it grew mold again. On the side of it, it grew mushrooms. That is the reason for 3 stars. Pink mushroom were small but I just found out, pink mushrooms thrive on a warmer temperature while Oyster Mushroom is ok with winter time. I left the humidifier on , in the Laundry room. The other Oyster mushrooms likes them. Not the pink one. I separated the one with the mold left it in my backyard. It has a few mushroom , growing during winter. Now it has also look like black mold.

I’m only 6 days since getting my kit started and 2 of them are growing beautifully! The 3rd kit seems to be a late bloomer so I called customer service. Andrea was fantastic! She answered right away, asked for a picture to assess the situation and concluded that my kit may still grow, but will be sending a replacement kit despite that. I had a great time talking with Andrea and I am looking forward to future orders and trying the other products she told me about.
