This was such an amazing read! This book has radically transformed my understanding and use of prayer. I bought this book after watching the 1 series, 6 episodes PLMLLF YouTube interviews which is also available as a podcast. Was immediately hooked and decided I had to get the book. I’m so glad I did!

I've read a few books on prayer but this is definitely one of the best.

This was a brilliant book. It clearly spells out the importance of prayer, weaving in narratives from past and present of great acts of God stirred by the power of prayer. However, this book is no prosperity-gospel hogwash, it helpfully deals with the issue of sovereignty and unanswered prayer, and emphasises a scriptural and spiritual truth: prayer is as much an expression of devotion and fidelity to God as it is an intercessory act. The discipline of daily prayer is not legalism, it is devotion, and out of this devotion comes supernatural and miraculous moments of divine intervention, and deep closeness with God. The book inspires me to pray, and reminds us to regularly commit to a routine of prayer. It reminds us that God is good, and to pray even harder when we feel He is not being good.Lastly, we are reminded that all the answers to our prayers will come in the new creation, where Christ will reign as sovereign and where we will dwell in the presence of his goodness and majesty.

At first I thought this was going over familiar ground but then the insights this guy brings were so phenomenal. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading this. It has fanned the flame to pray! Highly recommended! Going to be buying a few copies for Christmas presents!

This delightfully faith-filled and 'foolish' cry to rediscover real prayer feels for all the world like the living 'foolishness' of Jesus himself interrupting our sad attempts at organising a church that can manage without him!I have been glad to read it slowly, appreciating Tyler's helpful practical suggestions ending reach chapter.I'm already plugging it to anyone who will listen. Tyler shares from his heart, from his experience, from his study. Yes it is radical - rooted - unconventional and yet deeply conventional, just not of this world. Actually it is of this world and seeks to rediscover what we have lost. I want to find that. I'm going to seek that.
