Love it
This is a great skillet. It is a fabulous size, and can go in the oven.

Had to try again but was very happy with it.
I was sent a heavily used pan that had no lid. I ended up reordering and was sent one that was not used. I also have the saucier they make and it's good too.

Excellent pan. The 1
Excellent pan. The 1.9 Qt. saute pan is just the right size for me and my girlfriend. Browns meat perfectly. I like to brown chicken in it, then add fresh spinach, grape tomatoes, cooked bowtie pasta and alfredo sauce. Toss it around in this pan on med/low for a few minutes and voila, a quick gourmet meal for two. Mauviel pots and pans are the best. They are MADE IN FRANCE and worth every penny!

Much smaller than expected and handle is not comfortable to hold
I bought the 3.4 quart saute pan for my husband who is an avid cook. It was intended as a substitute for a 3 quart All Clad saute pan he loves, for our second home. Unfortunately though the Mauviel is a lot smaller in diameter than the All Clad -- it's high but not nearly as wide. This means it's not suitable for all the dishes we want to use it for, so is a bit of a shame - there simply isn't a lot of floor space to it and we don't need the height as much as diameter. We also bought a Tramontina saute pan as part of a very well priced saucepan set... and it turned out the diameter of both pans are exactly the same - so now we have two pans with the same dimensions. Comparing the two, if my husband had to choose one to use, it would be the Tramontina because the handle is much easier to hold. For all the fancy curvature of the Mauviel, it actually doesn't seem very ergonomic... perhaps it's something that improves as you get used to it? Time will tell.

Love Mauviel cookware
Love Mauviel cookware. Always cooks evenly. Cleans up easy. Handles are thin though but I knew that going in. Not an issue when cooking though. Only when cleaning. Definitely need mitts or towel on lid. Lid handle does get hot.

Cook like a Pro! (Or at least look like it)!
Awesome saucepan! From the looks to the performance it’s a flawless piece of art. It makes a difference when we use higher quality tools, in almost anything we are passionately dedicated to. This is no exception. I’m so glad and so excited to put my Mauviel Saucepan to good use! : )
