Well labeled
It may frustrate you if this is your first pack, but it is a good pack and once you buy more, then you'll see that they have done just a little extra to help me in identifying which part is which. There are many economical packs like this, but honestly none of them have given me a key like this to follow. In fact, I have kept this key to help me out with other brands as well. You will end up with stuff you won't use, but if you are new to this stuff like I am, it might be interesting to keep around a few curious parts to try to use later as you get a better understanding. I have not noticed any parts not working yet. So far I am pleased with this purchase. Soon after this I had to buy a tackle box to contain this expansive hobby.

Loaded the parts cannon
Overall this was a good starter pack. Lots of parts and sizes to choose from. Everything is labeled (even the caps are in hand labeled plastic baggies). Save the box top - it comes in handy as the table of contents. I quickly scan to see if I even have Size X or part Y. Lots of sizes I’ll probably never use.My criticism is that many parts lack data sheet info, and not even enough info to look it up. For example the LED. What is the forward voltage and max current ? 3mm vs 5mm is all that is listed. The trim pots are cheap. One came apart while I was adjusting it.And last night while picking a resistor I found a ribbon of 0 R. Yes. Zero ohms 20 of them. Why?And I’d love if it came with more 555. You can never have enough of them.

Value? No
Thought I'd get more than this for the $. All cheap components and chord plugs aren't even pinned for perf board they are point to point type I could build this kit better for half price payed

Great fun for the electronics experimenter
I ordered this more or less as a lark, and because for the sheer quantity of stuff included, it was a real bargain. Opening the box was a bit like opening a present on Christmas morning because I wasn't sure what was actually in there. It's chocked full of - well, just about everything. Diodes, transistors, a little infrared remote control, trim pots, potentiometers, LEDs, resistors... Wow, there's just about everything crammed in that little box. The quality of the parts I've used so far has been good. Only quibble, and it's a small one, is that the labeling could be better. Parts are identified only by someone scrawling a part number on the plastic bags they're in with a marker pen. But if you're buying this you're probably already able to identify parts by their size, shape and markings anyway so that's not generally going to be a problem. Would be a great gift for a family member or friend who tinkers with electronics.
