Does anyone one know exactly what the included square wooden stick is for? I see some text in Japanese about it but alas I can't read Japanese.

The wooden stick extends the reach of this angle guide. I found it useful. Please be aware this guide cannot do angles less than about 20 degrees nor greater than 160.
