I did not buy this mat for writing rather for drawing. It's a great non mess item and can also entertain younger ones. The water fades at a good rate about 10 seconds to a minute depending how much water you apply. Only complaint is that there are lines as if water has been applied but they don't come off. The mat is a good size, about the size of a place mat. The material is light as a feather making it easy to carry with you anywhere together with your brush. I don't have to bring out the inks all the time now just to practice my brush work, and can also practice while watching TV during commercials. Time really goes by quickly when using it. The other day three hours had gone by and I thought only one hour had passed. It is a fun item to practice with and worth spending the money on to save on the expense of ink until serious ink work is going to be done. In addition, this company, Master Chinese, are very professional and nice people and to communicate with should you have any problems with your order. I would give them a higher rating than five stars if I could for their EXCELLENT Customer Service; I had to email them and they responded right-away and took care of the problem; it was a pleasure communicating with them. I can with confidence recommend this seller and would 100% do business with them again.When storing my Magic Cloth away for a while, I loosely place it back in the shipment box it arrive in.
