I’ve been using this set for a couple months now and while there is a bit of a learning curve, the set really does have almost everything you need to do a gel mani at home. However, it does NOT have lint free wipes for the sticky layers or foils for removal. I find the nail buffer that’s included is a bit too rough for my natural nails but does work well for breaking down the top coat for removal. I don’t understand how to use the blooming gel or what the 4-in-1 glue would be used for, but the colors are great and I love the “laser” (holo) topcoat.If you’re looking to do at home gel manis or you’re new to the nail tech world, I think this set has so much potential for newbies.

I felt like a kid again when I opened the box and found all glitters and the pink machinery to dry the nails, the small bottles of polish… everything just so cute. Also, the nails looked amazing!! I got my hands and feet done, and I am in love. So easy to do! I just hope it will last for a very long time. In Brazil I used to go my manicure to get my hands done with fiber glass and it lasted one month. Here in the US I am doing my own nails and not using any extensions. I just hope it lasts at least 15 days.

My biggest complaint is with the included gel lamp. It's a good size, however there is a weird gap in the back of the lamp and it becomes very hot to the touch. Not burning just mildly warm.So far in my journey as a nail tech modelones polishes are the best beginner (cheap) gel polish kits on Amazon. Fair warning the bottles are very small but for personal use and for the sake of learning they're the best. I've tried a few other brands and was not happy with the application or longevity of the product. These guys hold up super well.

For my first time ever doing gel nail polish I've got to say that this is an amazing starter kit. I did my research and followed Gabby Angelique's videos on YouTube. I also got my self a pair of uv protectant gloves since it's a UV lamp.It can be a bit overwhelming but with patience you can do a pretty good job.I will buy more products from Modelones and definitely recommend!

The media could not be loaded.  I got the cat eye kit and absolutely LOVE it. The kit includes the cat eye polish and color changing polish too. So, some of the colors are temperature sensitive. Hot equals one color and cold equals a different color. This kit is the special effects box of absolute awesomeness. I did a test swatch of each color on some extra fake nails I had too. Sorry I don't have a picture of them. They're put away with all my nail stuff.The video wasn't taken after I completed my nails it was a week or 2 later. I had this on for 3 weeks and probably could have gone 4 without having any problems. Again, proper nail prep is key. I also couldn't stop looking at my nails. Because of the shine, the sparkle, and the holographic rainbows!!!! LOVE IT!!! This is my visual fidget toy. It helps to look up different YouTube videos of people using cat eye gel polish and the different techniques using the magnetic wand.Note: proper prep is key. I purchased the nail dehydrator and primer from this same brand, Modelones. Read the instructions and fine print. Apply thin coats. The primer (air dry) and base coat and colors will all be a little sticky after curing under the uv light. That's normal. It helps each layer bond to each other. The top coat will seal everything and shouldn't be sticky. Also, wrap the tip or free edge of your nail without getting the polish on your skin. **Using the cat eye polish: Apply a thin coat and then use the magnetic wand. Don't touch the magnet to your nail. Get really close to your nail and try to be steady and hold it for 5-10 seconds. Check to see if you like the look. If not swipe your nail with another thin coat of the cat eye polish and try again. Cure it when you have the look you like. It helps to do a test swatch of the colors so you know what you're working with and how to use it. Each cat eye color you can try a different technique with the magnetic wand.I also purchased the kit A8- the gray pink one. I couldn't help myself and now have a back up lamp, just in case. Lol.I now have even more nail stuff coming... because I need to try the Modelones poly gel kit (without a uv lamp because I have 2 now Lol). I also ordered the Modelones brush cleaner too. Do I have a problem? Nope. I'm investing in a hobby I love and enjoy. I always do something with my nails. I can now enjoy the art I do on them longer than with normal nail polish. I also give my nails about a week or so break between each manicure to breathe.Overall, I highly recommend this brand and their products. The cat eye kit is my absolute favorite though. I feel like Gollum, they're "My Precious" Lol.

I tried 5 different colors and all the different too coats! My pinkie is glitter top coat. Middle finger is matte top coat everything else is the shine top coat. I think it's so beautiful! My thumb is the orange yellow ombre glitter color totally recommend! Easy for a beginner like me!

But others not-the holographic powder came like, almost gone. It didn’t seem to spill but it was so little when I opened it that it looked like it had. Or perhaps used. That’s how it appeared. Also, it is kind of garbage. It doesn’t work. At all. Unless I choose to not cure the base gel as long as I’m supposed to. And then that’s just letting it just stick to it. Which of course it’s gonna work that way. Unless it’s supposed to just be a holographic sheer effect, which doesn’t really work well either. All in all it’s a disappointment completely. Also, the colors don’t match what I expected to be getting. They were supposed to be pinks and one sparkly one and etc. I got all neutrals and browns and greys. Soooo lame.

Ok all the colors are there and the UV light really works nicely (make sure you don't get a kit with the fan type dryer). But I take off one star because there is no permanent storage for the items in the kit. The colors come in a disposable plastic tray, and the other items were packaged tightly in the shipping box, but not organized in a way to keep all the items together. Overall, I say get this! But have a plan for storage
