Works as good as the name brand at a better value. Taste isn't terrible. I mean it's cough medicine not a fine wine.Helps you sleep when your body feels like making you miserable.

Decent value compared to the name brand
I found this to have a slight aftertaste and it has a more generic flavor than the Walgreens version, which is the only one I've tried recently to compare it to. I figured this would be the case since it was cheaper, but it works okay. It definitely makes you drowsy and it helped with the tickling throat during coughing fits that pop up when you have the flu.
