Single Car Truck Wedge Black Subwoofer Box Sealed Enclosure for 8-Inch Woofer 8F

Very prompt & VERY well packaged. Double boxed and airbag. Can't ask for better shipping for a sub-woofer box and at this price. Onlyfactorydirect.com is legit. Box is well made. Only downside is, the speaker wire used is very thin. 12guage should be used for even an 8" sub. I gave 5 stars though cause I can always re-solder 12 or 8 gauge myself and the soldering job was excellent despite size. The carpeting is black as described and is done very nice as pictured. If they soldered the same way but with 12 gauge speaker wire, this box would be absolutely perfect. Box is made of High Quality MDF as described. Will by another. Great box for the money.

I built my own powered sub-woofer from components I found here on Amazon. The enclosure was critical because I was having a difficult time deciding how much trunk space in my Honda Civic could be devoted to a sub-woofer. This unit was the right size, and the carpet covering matched the trunk liner pretty well. The enclosure is well made and a considerable value if you think about how much it would cost to build this yourself. The unit sounds great now that I have it powered and installed in the car. I'm sure it will last for many years. My only nitpick is the speaker wiring provided inside the enclosure should be of a heavier gauge. An optional grill kit would be nice too.

8" wedge black subwoofer box. Item arrived on time and in good condition. Exactly as described and a fairly well built sturdy box. My only complaint is that I did have to let it sit out for over a week before installing due to the VERY HEAVY chemical fumes emanating from the box. I don't know what it was they used but it was very nauseating and after a week of airing out it seemed to have dissipated enough that I could be in the same room as the box. For an Infinity 860w all I did was use a utility knife to angle the precut hole to match the angle of the speaker itself. The 8" hole does not to be bigger, it only needs flared a little to match the speaker basket angle then it will drop right in. Depth of the box seemed to be perfect. Might get a little better sound with slightly more air space but since I was limited on box size this will work. The box dropped right in behind the driver seat in a 95 Mustang convertible. There is no trunk space and this box fits perfectly behind the seat. With the black carpet it is not very visible even when looking for it in that tiny space. Overall I am happy with the purchase and would recommend.

I just purchased this box and the infinity 860w sub. For all with depth questions, the sub does indeed fit, just wired it up and drove around now. The box wiring isn't the best quality but it works flawlessly. It did need about a minute of hand filing as the whole was a tiny bit too small, but all in all, spent about 10 minutes and it sounds amazing, while not taking up precious room in a 370z (fits on shelf behind seats). I took the chance not knowing if it'd work, it did, and I highly recommend it. I'm feeding it 300w rms and it hits as hard and tight as higher wattage 10's I've has year ago. I paired it with amped polk db6501 components and I couldn't be happier, and I used to be a big audiophile.

I read the reviews before I purchased a set of these boxes. The construction is really good. I also like the fact that it is black carpet instead of the normal grey carpet. Some of the reviews mentioned putting pollyfill in the boxes. I loosely place pollyfill in the box before I installed the speakers. The bass is actually deeper and crisper at lower volumes. You have to be careful with the pollyfill because you are suppossed to put 1 lb per 1.5 cubic square feet or something like that. A good rule of thumb is just loosely pack it in. If you have too much polyfill it over work your speakers and cause the to fail prematurely. I am pleased with the boxes. Shipping takes a little longer but it is worth the wait.

Box dimensions fit my application perfectly (5 stars) but the cutout was off center (minus 1 star). Also had a two screws that won't tighten (minus 1 star) wood stripped with minimal torque.

I wasn't expecting anything amazing for the price but the fit and finish around the corners is perfect and the seal job inside is clean. I have always built my own boxes in the past because the junk at places like best buy can't compete in price or quality or looks with what you can build yourself for $30 and an afternoon, but this one does. Fits my standard depth Polk 8" perfectly. Other thoughts: would be nice if it had arrived with the carpeting cut back 1/8" or so from the hole for the seal on the back of the sub to contact the wood but it's not like that's a hard thing to do myself. The wires inside it are a bit dinky, maybe 18ga, but who uses the wires that come with anything anyway? Easy to swap a new set onto the posts as it's a good quality connector.

Wasn't even the size it claimed to be. I ordered a 12" box and got a 8". Waste of money
