Does the job well
I only needed to crimp a few RJ45 cables and I had no issues, none had to be redone and the included tester came in handy for someone like me who doesn't do this for a living. Not sure how much better the "other" ones are, but I'd say this tool is pretty great, especially for the price.

Works nicely!
Works great to crimp cat6 cables efficiently. Just used the included yellow stripper to remove sheathing from the Cat6 cable. The built in stripper in the tool cuts into the individual wires when trying to strip the cable. Other than that, works perfectly.

Nice product but didn't perform well - Update
Update: I received the replacement and after making 3 patch cables (6 male ends) all is well. I have found that snipping the excess of pass thru wires makes the tool work better (less than 1/4" pass thru wires to cut when crimping). I have updated my review to 4-stars (not 5 due to issue with first crimper).I purchased this crimper kit due to rating from other buyers, items included and price. The Klein crimp tool was significantly more (but my experience with it is 5-star), but after only using it a handful of times the RJ45 crimper/cutter jammed with a cable end in it and I could not extract it. I sent it back for a replacment and am to receive new unit in a couple of days. I'll add a rating adjustment if this replacement operates better ... otherwise return for money back.

Crimping hit or miss
The tools you get with it and the ergonomics are great but the actual crimping works 50% of the time. I had to buy another brand from lowes 50$ that does only crimping and cutting (no stripping) and that worked wonderfully.

Crimper gets stuck
On the seventh cable I was terminating, I put the cable in to crimp and the crimper got stuck. I had to disassemble the tool to get my cable out. I attempted to terminate a useless line just to test it out and it got stuck again. Absolutely annoying at the very least. This was the only product flaw but a huge one. Needs to be fixed

Termination code is backwards
The color code is wrong when you put the clip to the top to put into the rj45 connector it should be brown, brown/white, green, blue/white, blue, green/white, orange, orange/white. If you are verifying before crimping it's wrong if you look at it. The Kline tool is much better because you can verify it on the pass through side. Otherwise the tool crimped ok I think but I made 14 terminations wrong because it was backwards. An additional note orange and brown are hard to tell apart.

Fiddley but it works
If like me you are terrible at crimping RJ45's then this may be a good tool for you. I crimp very infrequently and typically only have a 50% success rate. If you look at the pictures you would believe you just strip back the outer insulation, stuff the wire into the crimp and away you go. Not a chance. It takes ages to get the correct colours in the right holes and it's fiddly and time consuming. However, where the system works brilliantly is that you can check that you do actually have the correct wire in the right place BEFORE you do the crimp. For me, the technique that seemed to work was to strip back a lot of the outer insulation and then push the wires through, then it's easy to hold the wires with one hand and pull back individual wires to change position. Once everything is correct you can then crimp. The machine does have a slight design flaw in my opinion in that a wire can get trapped between the edge of the trimming blade and the tool and you have to fiddle around getting all the wires through the tool without getting anything caught. Possibly what you should do is trim off most of the excess before you crimp. All that aside I've done ten crimps this evening and each one has worked perfectly so I think it was a good investment. I'm sure I'll get better with practice.
