Needed a little extra work, but does what it was designed to do.
This is a very simple item to install and use. I like everything about it except for one thing. Before I put it on, I examined the inside with having a flashlight pointing up the pipe. I could see light coming from one of the sides of the mesh bag and since that space would allow unfiltered gases and bugs to get through, I tried compressing the mesh bag with carbon in it to clog up that opening. After about a minute the opening came back as the bag adjusted back up. I contacted the company and they helped me out a lot. They actually sent me out a larger bag for me to use so there would be more room for the bag to fill up the entire pipe and it worked. I think when my original bag was made, it was too tight without enough space to allow the mesh bag to compress/fatten out in the pipe...it was basically too tight and skinny. I would definitely recommend this item and buy again...just make sure yours has no open space on the insides.

Absolute crap.
Total junk. Waste it time and money. Cut a vent pipe to use this inside with a lift pump so smells wouldn't come out the vent pipe on the roof. Made no difference at all.

It works amazing to get rid of the smell
The odor hog is amazing. I have a 2" vent pipe on the back side of my house and every time I would walk out my front door it smelled like septic or in the yard I could smell it , my closest neighbor is 3/4 a mile away mind you I put the odor hog in and gave it a night went out in the morning and the smell is gone 100% I have had it for a month now and still no smell of septic at all . I would recommend getting ti if you want the smell to go away. It was easy for me to install two cuts and slid right on and been happy ever since

Does the job
Excellent product; does the intended job. Works when roof top filters are not an option given the difficulty in changing the media.

Product has reduced/eliminated the septic odor!
This product has given us the freedom to be outside without dealing with the septic odor blowing from the rooftop vents!
